Perfect for Young Avengers in Training!
I recently purchased the Marvel Avengers Thor Battle Hammer for my 5-year-old, and it’s been a fantastic addition to his superhero adventures. The hammer’s design closely resembles Thor’s iconic Mjolnir, complete with Asgardian runes and a textured handle, making it feel authentic for imaginative play. The foam head, crafted with Nerf technology, ensures safety during playtime, while the sturdy plastic handle provides a comfortable grip. One of the standout features is its lightweight construction, making it easy for young children to wield without any strain. It’s also durable enough to withstand the enthusiastic play of a young superhero. Whether it’s for a costume accessory or everyday play, this hammer delivers on both fun and safety. If you’re looking to inspire imaginative play and bring a touch of Asgard into your home, this Thor Battle Hammer is a worthy choice.

He was disappointed that he couldn't use this to fly, but otherwise it was a hit!
Purchased this for a five year old boy who is obsessed with all things Marvel. The hammer did not have its own packaging, just came loose in a regular Amazon box. I was a little disappointed about this since it was purchased as a gift and it made for awkward wrapping, but not a big deal. Some of the reviews have mentioned that it is smaller than expected. It is a bit on the small side I suppose, but I personally thought it was a really good size. Especially for a child... anything larger would probably have seemed a little too big. It is very lightweight since the hammer head is squishy foam (think squeezy stress ball foam) and the handle is a very lightweight plastic. It seemed very well made with nice details (for a toy - this definitely isn't a high quality collectible replica or anything). The birthday boy loved it and it was one of his few presents that he played with right away during the party. We had a good time pretending none of the rest of us could lift it. He slammed it on the driveway a few times Thor-style and I was concerned that the concrete might tear the rubbery grey coating on the surface of the foam (again, think foam stress ball material) but it seems pretty resilient and no damage was done. I'm sure it will get a bit torn and worn in time, but that just means it was well loved. Honestly, as a huge MCU fan, I'm tempted to buy another one for myself just for fun, to display on a bookcase or something (and fine, maybe for the occasional god of thunder smash). I think this would be great for cosplay for those who are awesome enough to do that kind of thing. It was pointed out to me though by the little Avenger that his Mjolnir was missing the wrist strap so he couldn't swing it around properly enough for it to gain enough momentum to fly him off into the sky. Probably for the best though...the Earth needs him more than Asgard does.

Great toy for kids
My 4yr old son loves the avengers and likes to play dress up. He loves the hammer because it is the perfect size for him. My wife and I love it because the hammer is made of coated foam so it doesn’t damage things when he hits them with it. Overall it’s a very well made, good quality toy.

Soft and fun
Great soft foam for playing around without hurting anyone too much. We got it for our 3 year old and sometimes he’s a little too rambunctious with our 1 year old, but it can’t do too much damage. Quality materials. The plastic is a little hard if they hit with that accidentally. Color, shape and definition looks authentic. Great for any kid above 3 in my opinion. Our boy even sleeps with it and we have Thor v Hulk battles since we have the hulk gloves, too.

Kid size!
When I was pregnant I was depressed/fat Thor for Halloween and this was the only one I could find to go with my costume. Was super excited and when it came it was so tiny! Hilarious at Halloween because I was huge, but would be great for kids to use.

Mjölnir, But Easier to Carry than the Real Thing.
We bought this as a birthday present/birthday party activity accessory for my son's "Super Hero" themed birthday party (the activity was to smash ice cream cones (without ice cream) with the hammer. While my son is younger than the ages listed (he's two), the hammer is absolutely appropriate for him and the rest of us. PROS: The hammer part is totally soft and squishy. Getting bonked with it hard would hurt a little, I guess, but that's not been an issue. It gets thrown around and nobody's gotten hurt. The handle is harder than the gray squishy part but, again, our son hasn't played with it in a way that's been potentially damaging. A more physical kid might make this toy hurt you more than mine has. It looks good! It obviously is what it's supposed to be, and my son easily can identify it. He calls it Mjölnir (and his pronunciation is pretty good!) and can roleplay with it and have fun. For the quality of the toy (we've had it for five months) under light-to-consistent play, it's held up. I think ten dollars or under is fair for this. We paid more (about $14) and that was probably too much, but we wanted it for the party, and it's held up. UPDATE: My wife and I decided to try out how much this could by hitting each other with with the foam hammer part kind of hard. And, hey, guess what? It can hurt a little. So be careful out there, friends. CONS: No bells and whistles, if you're into that sort of thing. We wanted one that was just the hammer, without sound effects. Our chatty superhero loving kid provides all the sound effects we could need. Not a bad toy or accessory, especially if you can get it with the price low. This would be fun to have as an office decoration, too, I think.

it looks great but it's way too small.
it looks great but it's way too small. i expected it to be the same size as the hammer in the movie. You would have to be 3 years old for this to look right.
