Sweet on Texas: Loveable Confections from the Lone Star State

Found this same book at a novelty Texas store in an area mall for $24.95. Was thrilled to find it on Amazon for a much cheaper price. Bought this as a gift for a family in Alabama who hosted my daughter for 4 nights. They commented on how much they loved the book & couldn't wait to use it. I appreciated that it was paperback, but substantial and a nice size for a gift.

This book is absolutely terrific and a lot of fun, containing some of the state's most iconic deserts and treats from those made by our moms and grandmothers to some surprises from Texas's most beloved restaurants. We can't believe they gave their recipes away but are glad they did! Traditional yummy deserts, all styled and photographed beautifully, along with some new, innovative twists to old favorites. It's a great gift for anyone who wants to celebrate all the sweetness Texas has to offer.

Wonderful recipes! All are easy to prepare and use common ingredients easily found in grocery stores.

I am a collector of Texas cookbooks and this is a good one. Although I havent tried all the recipes they are very easy to understand for even the beginner.
