checks all the boxes, quality, thick, flex, fit=3xl 260lb. beer kegger, sumo, clydelsdale, buffet belly boy, zip, buoncy-i went from 2mm to this 3mm which is a little more buoyant and little warmer, arm and neck opening just the right size without hindering movement but yet covering as much as can.

I got this vest along with a pair of 1.5mm shorts for use in Florida during winter months. While my daughter is impervious to the cold water my ability to stay in the water with her is limited. The combination of the vest with shorts made the cool water bearable and our time together enjoyable. The zipper is solid with the right amount of neoprene material coverage to prevent skin irritation.Fit: I purchased a medium vest. The vest was a perfect fit around chest but was a bit loose around the waist. I am 5’4”, with 30” waist and 38” chest. I think that this would be ideal for someone with a 32-33” waist. To improve the fit and the vest’s insulation properties I had a tailor take in the waist area by 1” on each side - this made it snug and kept me warm.

I'm 6'4" and 240 lbs. I'm not fat, but because I'm 83 years old I do have an old man's shape. In clothing, I usually buy 2XLT shirts and size 38 pants.I bought this vest in XXXL and it's wearable but a little too snug in the chest. I previously bought the neoprene pants in XXXL and they're also snug. The moral to the story: buy a larger size than you would think you need.

These run a bit on the small side - I am a bit fluffy and way too big even though I am at the top of the chart - my advise - order once size larger

Does a great job of keeping you warm while swimming in cooler water. I wore this while at a lake when the water was still in the low-to-mid 50s but the air temperature was in the mid-to-upper 90s and it kept my core warm and mostly dry. I will warn against wearing it during hot summer days for long durations, as it is not very breathable, but I'm pretty sure it is intended to be that way, otherwise it would not keep you warm when you hopped into chilly waters.Have yet to experiment on cooler days, but I can definitely see this as something a person who goes kayaking/boating during cooler months can use to keep warm and fairly dry in the event they get splashed or fall into the water.

This is the second one I ordered. My husband liked the first one, it was well made and fit well. The zipper was sturdy and the weight was perfect for snorkeling. He accidentally forgot it at the Kern River, so I bought another one.
