Works great at blowing cool air at you, when you sit directly in front of it. I originally purchased this product as a means of providing cool air in a hot room... noooot a great product for that, so I purchased a portable evap cooler instead. I should have done my research in the first place. It is a good little product though, and I like it. Like I said, it works great at blowing cool air on you when you sit directly in front of it.

Although it's definitely not the greatest thing on earth, it does the job to cool you down. Just a precaution, it will not be able to cool your room. I personally don't find the built-in fan to be "loud" in any way (some of the 1-star reviewers are crazy). When I turned on the "Cooling" setting, It definitely kept me cool during a 80-degree night sleep (had to turn it off a couple of times because I began to freeze.) You can definitely take this anywhere, but of course, it has to be connected to an outlet (which ain't too much of a big deal). It lasts more than 2 hours with the cooling setting turned on at the first level of fan speed (which is normally the speed I use during the long hot nights), after that, you simply just refill it with ordinary tap water, and you're good to go for another 2 hours. As for leaks, There was a tiny bit of leakage (water drop the size of a dime and less) when I had the vents pointing at a downward angle when I have the cooling system turned on, but I never had a case of a huge amount of water coming out and leaking through the bottom of the machine. I've yet to clean it since I've been using it for about 2 weeks now and I haven't seen any mold or dirt being built inside. Overall, this little machine is worth it.

I like the easy access to the water tray. I like the lights they’re not too bright pleasant to look at. I also like the noise level it’s not too loud. However I do not like the AC/DC Converter it comes with it’s VERY LOUD and makes a loud humming NOISE, it also has an very bright LED light on it, why??? I had to purchase a different AC/DC converter to replace it $10 bucks extra I didn’t expect.

Despite what it says in the description this product is actually not an evaporative cooler. Evaportative cooling is using heat in the air to liberate water molecules from a solid into a gas resulting in cooler and more humid air. When I took the unit out of the box, I noticed right away that there was no filter in front of the fan to hold the water. There was a water reservoir but no mechanism to actually transfer the water to where it can be evaporated. This unit basically consist of a fan and a mister but the two are not connect at all. The mister feels good when you use cold water but there is no actual temperature reduction. I held my thermometer in front of it and the air coming out was only 1-2 degrees cooler. For less money, you can buy a very nice humidifier and just fill it with cold water for the same effects. This unit was also very loud, even with my noise cancellation headphones on it was still audible on the lowest sitting Overall, not very happy with the product and will be returning. Seller should not call this an evaportative cooler, it is very misleading!

Do NOT judge by appearances!Yes... the Unit is only about 10" tall, and looks like a toy for a toddler. But it DOES what it claims to do!I originally set it up and plugged in the included AC cord on the table in an enclosed porch with the windows UP, and where there was no AC or ventilation.It was 4PM. The weather outside was in the 90's. The temperature inside the porch was right at 90º.I filled the tank with about 12 ounces of water, and turned it on.The cool mist, with a choice of 3 fan speeds, appeared immediately when I pressed the "misting" button.It was actually very refreshing, and made sitting in that area quite comfortable.I set up a thermometer to have the mist blow on it. In 10 minutes, the temperature dropped 8 degrees.No... this is not a room air conditioner, but it will cool YOU in a hot room, and make being there very tolerable.I can easily see this being on a desk in a Office where the AC is insufficient or, perhaps, not working at all.It is small, easily to take with you, quiet, attractive, has great features including a 2-hour or 4-hour timer, and a mini-light show you can turn on or off, and, most important, it does its work of cooling you very well.Personally, I am glad I bought it, and I wholeheartedly recommend it as a personal air conditioner.

The media could not be loaded.  I brought this in the 25th May 2020 and it was delivered asevera la days later. Today is approximately a week since I got and with very careful use it is broken already. As you can see in the pics and the video, I had even placed the form that came with the packaging under the unit to protect my furniture for any accidental spilling. I handle things with care so for this unit to be broken already means that it’s indeed as cheap as it looks.It’s a pity because everything about the unit great. I’m simply returning it and do not recommend it to anyone. It’s not worth it especially in this pandemic. Who wants to be bothered with returns.

Part of the description may be misleading. But one should also understand a true air conditioner would require a compressor unit to cool the air and a large water compartment to collect the water. A table top unit would not be able to achieve this at this moment.This unit is an air evaporator/humidifier on steroid by using a strong fan to push the cool mist out at short distance. At home I run the air cooler with cold water and ice. The machine will produce a cool mist and sent the mist to the middle of the vent and a strong fan in the back will blow the mist about 1-1.5ft forward. You will feel the temperature difference directly in the front of fan and with the infrared thermometer gun it recorded 5-10F degree drop. So.Cal has been hot for the last few day. I used the fan in the car in the middle of the day to take a nap with car window down. It was hot but manageable.Overall the fan does work, but everyone should not have high expectation from a small unit. The air unit is also easy to clean. I always let it air dry before storage.
