Aside from gym workouts, if you are the guy who likes a comfortable tank by itself, this is for you. It is not a tight "look at muscular me" stretch tank but instead is slim fitting with a neat appearance. It is comfortable, thicker and more substantial than, say, a tank undershirt. I'm 5'8" 150lb. I've washed and tumble-dried my medium tank several times with only a little shrinkage. I think it will work well under a shirt or by itself at any outdoor activity. Recommended.

This is another Amazon Essentials product that punches above its weight in terms of price/quality. Similar brands charge more. And similar brands have let the QC go to the birds. They are either tight and oddly shaped, or they are thinner than thin and wear out too soon.I have purchased three of these (in different colors). They all have the exact same fit. The hemming is more substantial than similar products, but doesn't produce any abrasive rubbing along the neck and the shoulders. The shirts have no tags, save for an oddly placed one along the lower side, so that is a bonus (and that one can be removed). They have a nice fit, with a slight blousing to the bottom.I used to buy XXX (no pun intended) and YYY brands (the common ones that show up all the time). No more. These shirts are more than their equal--I guess that means better?--and cost less. Recommended.
