Great workhorse!
We have used this desktop as a multimedia streaming server, as well as a Windows Media Center machine (now defunct as a product from Microsoft). It performs extremely well under high load conditions. We use its HDMI interface to project onto a Samsung TV and get a fantastic picture/sound from it. Its wired Gigabit connection, which is connected to an ASUS AC5300 using Cat 7 cable, gives us all the bandwidth we need. In the few years that we have owned it, it has never become unresponsive for any reason (which Windows PC do on occasion). I power cycle it once in a while to ensure any potential memory leaks are handled. It offers plenty of USB connections on its back, front, and on top. Would buy again

Solid choice for a gaming desktop
I've had this computer for over a year now and it still runs great! I can still purchase new games and play on low-medium settings. If you added extra RAM and swapped out the graphics card you would have a very great gaming setup! But out of the box everything is great for WoW, LoL, or Minecraft.

operating system
This new windows 8 is horrible for my use. Everything you change (font size, screen, colors, etc)goes back to the original setting everytime you sign out. This system won't save users name or passwords. You can click to save these but once you close out and go back in all the passwords are gone. I like the Vista operating system had no choice when ordering (truthfully, I did not think windows 8 would be such a headache. I paid a lot of money for this computer and now I'm stuck with it.

Great Thus Far!!!
I purchased this Dell XPS to replace any Dell of 9 years. I researched plenty of computers and found this one to meet my needs and my budget. It is quiet and just the right size for home. I do not get why so many complaints were regarding Windows 8.0, and not about the computer itself. No complaints here on the computer nor Windows 8.0.

The computer arrived just over 24 hours ago. After setting it up,registering with Dell and Microsoft, downloaded all updates and security, etc.I booted it and it won't boot beyond the Dell logo.I called Dell and they said the warranty was expired ,used computer maybe, and they wouldn't help me at all.Just printed a return label on my HP to return it..

Dell Lives Up to Its Name & History
Nice simple layout and connections. Everything works the way it is supposed to. Fast and efficient. I don't like Windows 8.1 -- but it might grow on me.

Misleading listing, should have been listed as used with no warranty
Listed as new, arrived with dust inside the computer case. Expired Dell warranty. Very loud fans. Already registers under a different user have no idea how to change it under my name. The worst investment I made for the money.
