BACnet explained with excellent detailed examples
My company is porting our network connected Mobipax Lightning Detectors to support BACnet for Smart Cities. I found this book extremely helpful to read before and during implementation. This is not the official BACnet spec but it explains how to use the spec and provides many helpful detailed examples of the PDU, NPU and APU data structures and how the ride on the various network types.

Not very useful.
I bought this book so I could understand and write code to the standard. However it does not provide much information about it. If you really want to know about the programming aspect, Buy a book on ASN.1 and the standard itself. This book would only be worth while if it was $20 or so.

Excellent read, with all the details. A must read for those new to this field.
The author, Michael Newman is considered to be the grandfather of BACnet, after many years he has kept pace with the development of his original idea. There are few who can claim such an accomplishment. The book is an easy read for anyone with an interest in automation protocols and from an unbiased source.

THE BEST BACNET BOOK, PERIOD!
As the owner of one of the fastest growing online Building Automation training companies in the world. I recommend this book to any BAS professional who wants to dive deeper into BACnet.During my time at JCI I helped 3 companies build their BACnet stacks using the 135 PDF. If only I'd realized Michael's book existed. This would have saved me sooo much time.This book actually is enjoyable to read. Which is shocking for a technical publication. This book also helps the reader go as deep down the rabbit hole as they desire.I've made this book required reading for my BAS Protocols course that I am creating.Let me make this clear, I used to run the Technical Integration Program for JCI and I am considered by many to be one of the leaders when it comes to BAS knowledge and know-how and I cannot recommend this book enough!

Excellent book that explains the concepts of BACnet very well. It is much simpler to read and follow than the standard, and covers all the important topics and concepts.

Buena introducción a BACNET
Es un libro muy técnico, pero que explica el origen del desarrollo del protocolo y sus vicisitudes, que ayuda a centrar ideas.

tres interessant mais qd meme insuffisant
Ce livre se veut l'explication du std BACnet. Mais il y a qd meme bcp de description tt cours ss trop d'explication. Il n'y a pas non plus d'exemple. Bref c'est mieux que le std tt seul mais ce n'est qd meme pas super clair

Un très bon livre, didactique, et en même temps d'une grande rigueur scientifique.A lire par tous les profiles de lecteurs.
