Building Confident Little Readers, One Hilarious Story at a Time!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ 4.7 out of 5 starsBuilding Confident Little Readers, One Hilarious Story at a Time!"Bob Books Set 2-Advancing Beginners" is a fantastic follow-up to the beloved Bob Books series, and it’s a real game-changer for budding readers. This set of twelve delightful books continues to build essential reading skills, using three-letter words and consistent vowel sounds to create slightly longer stories that boost confidence and keep young readers engaged. One of the standout features of this set is the use of simple yet captivating illustrations. The pictures are not only fun and entertaining but also support the text, making it easier for children to decode and understand the stories. Each book is filled with hilarious and sometimes mischievous tales that keep even the youngest readers hooked. Who knew advancing reading skills could be this much fun?The stories are short and sweet, perfect for those with a budding attention span. Each one packs in drama, fun, and a dash of surprise, ensuring that interest levels stay high. As a teacher and a parent, I appreciate how these books strike the perfect balance between simplicity and engagement. They are ideal for children who are ready to take their reading skills to the next level without feeling overwhelmed. Why a 4.7 and not a perfect 5? Well, while the simplicity is fantastic for new readers, a few more complex words here and there could help bridge the gap to the next reading level. However, this is a minor suggestion in an otherwise excellent series. In conclusion, "Bob Books Set 2-Advancing Beginners" is a must-have for any child's bookshelf. These books are a wonderful tool for building reading skills and confidence, all while keeping young readers thoroughly entertained. So, if you want to see your little one’s eyes light up with each turn of the page, this set is a fantastic investment. Happy reading!

Read with Ease
I've used Bob Books for both of my kiddos and it is truly a staple in the reading world. If you have a beginner reader or struggling reader, these will not fail you. My two boys were totally opposite. One struggled which is why I began this journey and it helped boost his confidence as he leveled up through their structured reading sets. Starting my second son with the books began wonderfully and it didn't end bad at all. He is just super precocious so he began flying through the books. If you have a child like my second and you've purchased all the sets, make it fun. Do some comprehension activities and have him/her read to a relative as I did. We went deep into retelling based on illustrations which works just as well for your struggling readers. The illustrations are clear enough to aid each child as they sound out the words on the page. Each book includes a set of vocabulary words and really works you through proper reading channels.

Great for teaching kids to read, whether kindergarten or older
The media could not be loaded. I used these books to teach my daughter to read when she had difficulties in school. She thought she couldn’t read. These books proved her wrong. She started enjoying reading after going through the Bob books. I’ve also used them for older children who have problems with reading. Start with set 1, basic sounds and short vowels. Build with each book and up through the sets. I’ve been disappointed with other beginner books, that expect a child to know consonant blends, short and long vowel sounds, silent “e,” and more. These books are the perfect fit for those who need a more gradual approach.

simple, does what it promises, empowers 5 year olds to read
my 5 year old is so happy when he can finish a book. the method is amazing to go along with kinder and 1st grade curriculum. short and sweet book with funny little characters that are recurrent throughout the series.there is no "noise" (not too many colors, not too many characters, not too many things happening, which for a kid learning to read is great, because it lets them focus and predict what the which page is about. Plus, lots of sight words!

Bob Books -- GREATEST THING EVER if you want your kids to be successful in school someday!!
Bob Books fill the small but CRITICAL gap between reading to your children, and their first independent reading of "real" hardbound library books (beginning with numbered "reader" books). Partly with the help of Bob Books, my son was able to read his first "reader" book at age three. Now, at the end of fifth grade, he devours 400-page young adult novels in a day each. My (younger) daughter read Bob Books too at one time, then readers; and today she too is a voracious reader of young adult novels (in 4th grade). You can also get these in many libraries, though you often have to ask for them as they may be kept behind the counter or in a different area. Parent tip: NO video games, and don't let them touch your cell phone, until they're at least in 4th grade; and even after that, limit it strictly. Our kids use computers for school and learning, but we have three full days each week designated as "no computer days," and very limited TV time. This gets them to read more, and to engage in healthy hands-on play (using real tools to build things, using Legos, etc.). Combined with these strategies, Bob Books (at the right age) can play a critical role.
