Great product for testing my kombucha's ph level
Great product for testing my kombucha's ph level. Easy to use and accurate readings. Because the colors are very staining (fingertip stains for a couple of days), I highly recommend using a pair of forcepts. MABIS Precision Kelly Box Lock Forceps Tweezers Clamp, Silver, Straight, 5-1/2 Inch. I originally purchased an electronic meter that never worked and I sent it back. I got this to try out for my Kombucha and it's a clear winner! You can use as much of the strip or as little as you want (I only use a little bit at a time, no need for more if you're just dipping it in) and the results are immediate and accurate. No calibrating, no extra chemicals needed.Other reviews cautioned about it staining your fingers but I haven't had that problem at all. I just dip it in, get an immediate reading and throw it away. I put a napkin down next to what I was testing so I could lay it on there as soon as I read it. Works great! I wish I'd gone with this the first time!

Works great, but can stain surfaces
This pH test paper is perfect for brewing kombucha. But beware: they stain your fingers and anything it is placed on. I made the mistake of testing the kombucha, then setting the wet strip down on the kitchen counter. The stains are still there! Took days to get off my fingers. So they are handy, but be careful when using them.

Simple clear color chart that is easy to read and easy to match to the result from the paper.
I purchased and used this to check the pH of a dog shampoo that I had purchased. The whole unit came in a small box. The test paper was in the plastic case wrapped in foil. I unwrapped the paper from the foil and put it in the dispenser. Tore some of the paper off and dipped it in the shampoo and voila! It immediately gave the pH of the shampoo and verified what I had suspected - that the shampoo was NOT safe for use on dogs!I had purchased two types pH testing strips as I wanted to be sure to get it "right". The other looked very fancy with 3 different color indicators; but, overall I would say the 3 colors were harder to match to the legend and read than this one. This one gave very clear color that was easy to match to the legend.I only wish I had this newer pH strip when I did my review of the dog shampoo to show that the pH was as acidic as it is! A pH of 3.5 for a dog shampoo is not acceptable! Below is the picture of the toxic goo dog shampoo next to the pH strip results (non-colored part is where my fingers were holding the strip that I dipped into the glob of shampoo).

Best One Yet
So I read all the reviews for the varying pH testers and finally settled on this one. I was incredibly happy I did because it worked perfectly. I used it to demonstrate to kids the different pH's of drinks (e.g. gatorade, coke, milk, water, etc) and they loved seeing the green and orange/red colors appear. I didn't find the texture to be too thin. Like one of the other reviewers said, it can stain your fingers-if you're holding on to it for awhile- but it's honestly not a big deal; it washes off with a little soap and water. Overall, I was incredibly happy with this and if I was ever to do this "experiment" again, I would definitely purchase this one again. Although I don't think I'll need to for some time since there's a good amount of testing strips/roll in there.

Perfect
Works great! Tested lemon juice and white vinegar - both got a 2.5 reading, which is perfect. Tested apple cidar vinegar and got a 3, which is also perfect. You just want to make sure and read the results right away like the instructions say before it fades. Many people complain about the color bleeding onto and staining their fingers. It hasn't happened to me once and I use the smallest peice of paper possible. Just make sure and dip a tiny bit of the tip in whatever your testing, you don't need to dunk 1/2 an inch in. Hope this helps! Thus was the info I was looking for when I was reading through these reviews.

100% recommended , super easy To read .
Super easy to read and very accurate. I only suggest to have your hand dry and clean when you cut the paper ( as it comes in a roll that you need to pull to cut a piece ) as that can alter the result ( water or other liquids in your hands can alter the color when the ph is display) . It can read any liquids or fluid either from the body or something else. I tried it in several products and fluids and it works to perfection . 100 % recommended .
