Larger than expected but a very good winter boot
These are great boots in many ways: Extremely warm and waterproof - the stretchy tops sit comfortably against my ankles keeping the rain and mud out without being too tight and my feet never get cold despite being outside for eight hours a day. These stretchy tops also make taking them on and off really easy.If I bought them again I would go down a size as they're very roomy. These don't seem to be available in half sizes so, as I wear thick socks for my work as a gardener, I went for a size 5 being a 4.5 to 5 in other boots. They feel more like a 5.5 (at least) to me so I wear a thin pair underneath my thick socks and they fit perfectly.I bought these primarily to replace my Nordic Grip boots as they aren't suited to the thick clay mud that I face on a daily basis in winter. The Mucksters have got superb grip in most situations. They're not perfect and sometimes I do slip on muddy slopes or wet grass but not often. They don't cope at all with slippery surfaces such as mossy paths and steps or ladders. Short of having several pairs of boots dotted around the gardens I work in, this is not a solvable issue! Overall though, these have been the best working boots I have purchased in recent years and I feel a lot safer and more sturdy than in other boots I've tried.

I received boots of different sizes - one correct size 7, the other size 8
I was pleased when these lovely sturdy looking boots arrived, but something about them wasn't so great. I couldn't put my finger on it and after two or three outings I gave up and as there was no obvious fault or reason for returning them, I put it down to them not suiting my feet and put them aside to lend to visitors. They've sat there idle ever since, until I lent them to my sister last week. She also thought they felt funny too and, on investigating further, noticed that although one boot has a size 7 label stuck inside it, UNDERNEATH that label size 8 is clearly printed on the boot. Comparing with the other one, it turns out that it's definitely a different size. So I've been sold odd sized boots, that have undoubtedly been used by someone else as the wear showing is certainly far more than I could've made on the two or three outings I gave these boots. A very poor show indeed for a very expensive pair of boots.

a little snug
Worn a couple of times now - I'm a 5.5-6 so ordered a 6.Seem quite tight fitting - wish I had gone larger but I use these for dog walking and oddly its my 'smaller' foot that seems tight!very snug fitting - but only used for a couple of short walks so far.I've had to skip a sock on one foot or just hope its end of the day swelling - I can't get ankle/half boot ones due to large calves so hope these loosen as they seem good quality but only worn twice so far (funny how the sun has come out now!)

Really Comfy
I wanted a waterproof ankle boot that is easy to slip on and off for putting out the bins etc. These boots fit the bill and are really, really comfortable with a cushioned footbed. I've worn them around town with jeans on wet days and they were great, but, a word of warning, the grip is not that good on wet leaves or slippery moss and I certainly would not trust them in icy weather. Apart from the grip issues in slippery conditions, in most normal weather conditions these boots are perfect, they keep your feet warm and dry and also look good. My size UK 8 is a loose fit, but I prefer that as they don't rub my bunions and I can wear thick socks in colder weather.

Perfect
Perfect for mucky dog walks. Walk my two Collies for several miles every day and fed up with wet mucky walking boots but wellies too uncomfortable for long walks across fields and in woodland. These do the job. Feet stay dry and comfortable and mud easy to clean off. Perfect!

I love these boots!
I love these boots! They are perfect for walking around in Edinburgh on a rainy day and look smart enough to wear into a restaurant, etc. They are also working well for me in walking about on a croft in the heather, etc. on Isle of Skye for all but the wettest areas where I might want a full boot that can sink deeper into mud, etc. I am very pleased with these Muck Boot Womens Ankle Boots.

Warm, comfortable, a little smaller than expected
Warm, comfortable, good quality, easy to get on and off.My daughter has a pair which I tried on and found them to be more comfortable than any other welly so I decided to get some identical ones. Hers said size 6 unisex. None of the shops around here sell them so I got these online. They say female size 6. My first impression was that they were slightly narrow (I have wide feet) but I kept them and they are possibly a tad on the small size, but they aren't causing me any problems. I use them most days for walking the dog in muddy fields and gardening.Definitely recommend these as the best wellies I have ever met!

Fear mud no more
Great boots - I have the long Muck Boots too for muddy ground that's over a foot or so deep. These boots are for drier ground - not deep mud - think mucky country roads as opposed to muddy waterlogged fields. The boots do slip a little at the back of your heel (I found) but after a while you get used to this and I now find them more comfortable and supportive to walk in than trainers or walking boots - they have a nice wide fit. They're quite aesthetic looking too without being in your face bling like Hunters.
