100% Authentic NEW La Mer Regular cream 0.11 oz (or 0.12 oz) sample

Doesnt smell like La Mer. Smells like suntan lotion & is very greasy. Beware.

Update: I purchased a bigger container from Sephora. The smell is similar but consistency and texture is very different. I've added a photo for reference. It's possible it's just an extremely old sample? Or the seal isn't great causing it to become thicker and create the cracks I mention below.Unfortunately I would have to say this is not authentic. It's always a gamble on Amazon with fancy products, right?This is my first purchase of creme de la mer. I was curious before spending $90+ dollars on the real thing and $20 sounded like a steal for a sample size. However, when I received the item, and after watching many YouTube tutorials from beauty bloggers, there were several red flags:1) No floral scent: supposedly creme de la mer has a great floral smell. I'm pretty sensitive to smells and the creme in this jar smells 100% like sun screen or your grandma's old lotions.2) Inconsistent texture: there were cracks in the top of the lotion when I first opened it. I waived it away since it could just be drying over time?3) No seal: I waived this red flag as well since it was just a sample size and I had nothing to confirm if samples had seals.4) MOST IMPORTANT (see photo): online you'll find that creme de la mer turns transparent between your fingers when rubbed together and warmed. This product does no such thing. Like mentioned before it's the same consistency and texture of thick sun screen. A pea size amount should turn translucent, but it only turns transparent when spread across a large space or your full face. There is no warming effect as described by la mer and bloggers. So my thought is...What the hell am I putting on my face? Because this is not Creme de la mer. 😭I'm hoping this review will save someone from buying a dupe. Good luck!
