Correct oil filter for 2.2L Ecotec installed in 2009 Chevrolet HHR
This is the correct oil filter to be used in a 2.2L Ecotec as installed in a 2009 Chevrolet HHR. Use the correct oil and filter in these engines. This filter works very well with the recommended 5W-30 motor oil (I use Mobil 1 Synthetic 5W-30).Beware of oil change places that use cheap paper filters, especially with synthetic oil. I found out that my dealer was doing this on my 5,000 mile oil changes so started doing it myself. Plenty of information online on how to do oil changes. You need a special socket (sold by Amazon) to remove the oil filter cover on most 2.2L Ecotec installations.
