For the Essentials
Most often than not, I end up as the designated cook. And there are only a handful of cutlery that I need when not in my domain. This bag fits my 10.75" ceramic sharpner/honing rod, 10" chef's knife, 8" slicing /sashimi knife, a utility knife and an 8" bread knife.....ok, I threw in a Boston Oyster knife too, just in case. The bag is padded but I do use blade guards. So, now I feel confident to work in someone else's domain, working with tools that I trust but more importantly tools that are safe. Yeah!

Lightweight, great value for the price
Great light bag. Best if all you need is a chef knife, paring knife and something else like scissors or a peeler or microplane. I bring it to work every day with me and I feel very secure carrying them. The Velcro handle works good, but must be undone in order to fully unzip the bag, so I keep the Velcro closed and don't attach the handles to each other, I feel it works better that way.Overall a good value. I carry three blades and use one of the pockets for pens and markers.

Nice little knife bag, but can't really fit 5 standard size chef knives in it
Nice little knife bag, good for carrying a few, but not 5 standard size chef knives. I got it as a 2nd bag for my most frequently used ones, but with shields on cant zip bag up with 4 knifes, including a smaller paring type utility knife. Definitely didnt have room for my cleaver, but works & good value for what I got it for. Haven't had it long enough to rate its durability yet

Ergo Knife Case
This case is perfect when coupled with separately purchased blade covers. I had a set of 5 older quality knives that I use for camping a couple times a year and cooking at friends house and needed a case to travel as well as store them at home when they are not needed. If I was a professional chef and used the case everyday or needed to carry knives more than on occasion, a more durable case may be in order but for my needs, this case (along with the separately purchased blade guards) are perfect. Shipping took longer than expected so plan accordingly.

Handy for carrying my camping kitchen knives. You do ...
Handy for carrying my camping kitchen knives. You do need to be careful, carrying blades. The nature of almost any case (other than a briefcase with magnets holding blades in place) is that the points can stab through the bag.As there are just slots to slid the knives in, if they slide "up" the point can poke through the end of the bag.Again, I think that is the nature of a soft sided knife case and don't deduct stars for that. Its handy and I just carry it knowing I need to be careful.

A bit too small for my BBQ tools
I was hoping to get away with this bag as a replacement carrying case for our BBQ tools. The tools themselves hardly fit, and I couldn't get the grill brush in at all. I know that this bag is likely intended for smaller kitchen tools or knives, but heads up in case you were planning on using it for this purpose.

cozy blades
years ago when I was prepping as a Kuchen Boersche my fellow rookie had his own roll bag with his favorite knives kept in pristine condition. I figured then that a little pride and care were part of the craft, so now when I saw this available, and so modestly priced, I bought one. well, more than pride it's also an exercise in practicality. nice, well balanced and laid out, light, and so automatic you'll always remember to care for your cutlery.
