I dinged a star off for each stick that has been spoiled. I am not sure but it seems these guys have a packaging issue. I don't really trust that I can just pull one out of the bag and it would be safe to eat. It seems sometimes their packing just doesn't seal properly.It is a shame because, nutrition wise, these are pretty good for a jerky stick. And they taste good. But I prefer to buy food that is safe to eat.

As others have said, there are two issues: 1) they are mushy, and 2) they get moldy really quick.

I purchased the Turkey sticks based on the great beef sticks this company sells. My mistake to assume they would be just a tasty. Unfortunately I ordered a lot of them only to find they have a taste a wet paint. While traveling for the holiday we wasted 6 of them because of the flavor. I asked others to take a bite to see if it was just me and got the same feedback from my travel partner. I tried peeling off the casing to see if it was the culprit but it wasn't. Unfortunate there is no way to return them and I'm out $64. Stick to the beef I would suggest.

MY OLD REVIEW: These have a great taste; however, they are SO SO SO difficult to chew compared to other brands I've purchased on Amazon. They are rock hard. I won't buy these again.MY NEW REVIEW: This company is AWESOME! They evidently read my former review (above) and insisted on making things right. I never asked for my money back or for a replacement... they wrote to me and insisted on sending me a new shipment, which they immediately did. My husband and I just sampled the items and they are DELICIOUS, FLAVOR RICH and SOFT! They're nothing like the other shipment. These are the BEST!!! I'm very grateful and will definitely resume purchasing from this company. You will love these! Thank you, Mission Meats!

If the manufacturing process for these ever gets good quality control, they would easily rate 5 stars. We've tried the original in both beef and turkey. Both have an excellent flavor and are a filling snack. However, one batch we received had the casing loose and an odd consistency/smell. Threw those out. Got another batch and about 2/3 seemed normal, and the other 3rd was funky. I want to keep these around the house for relatively healthy snacks, but not at the risk of someone getting food poisoning. Please fix your quality control! You have an otherwise great product.

I've been on a Keto diet for a few weeks and was looking for something portable to keep at my desk. I was a little worried about the "moldy" comments (I think this may have been one bad batch awhile back).I ordered the jalapeno flavor and they are delicious! Soft, easy to chew, not too spicy, and they are a good size.I will definitely be ordering again!

I LOVE the Jalapeño turkey sticks! My package arrived fresh, mold free and delicious. They have such a fresh jalapeño flavor and don't have the greasiness that some beef sticks can tend to have. They are our go to snack for the grownups and kids. Fun fact... these are comparable in protein vs calorie to a protein shake!

I liked these and want to order again, but also noticed the mixed reviews when about to order again? My batch was amazing. I probably will order again, but really don’t want a moldy batch as suggested in some of the other comments. I liked the flavor and taste of the batch I ordered. I ordered from another brand on Amazon that tasted bad. I’m hoping if I order these again it will be as good as tasting as my first order!
