excellent book, helpful for studying except for one really irritating problem - almost every second question asks you what the diagnosis is after reading the clinical excerpt - which is fine except that every diagnosis is in the title of that question and its in large bold print making it pretty difficult to cover up and not see it when practising! Its driving me slightly nuts, other than that its really helpful!

Very useful book for both intermediate and Final SAQ exams.

Good book

While there are not many revision texts out there for the FRCEM final SAQ this one falls far below the expected standard.Plentiful grammatical and spelling errors litter the text. But more problematic are the questions and answers which are either non sensical or just wrong.Save your money.

The book is one of the few around for the FRCEM final SAQ, and seems to have a decent spread of questions within the curriculum topics. It's useful to have some expansion of the answers to use as revision as well as just testing.However, there are grammatical errors and typos, and a large number of the questions (as in my photo) have the answer to 'what's the diagnosis?' in the large title above, or under the photo in the description. This makes the first part of the question pointless and is pretty frustrating.Given the book isn't cheap, I'm disappointed that these issues weren't picked up in editing.An online question bank is just as good (and cheaper).

I didn't purchase it from Amazon, bellow expectations; missed important topics and frequently asked questions in Frcem, no coloured photos and sometimes no photos for dermatological problems, no chapter about ultrasound or echo, very far from the complex Frcem questions and I wonder how this book is published by Oxford and written by consultants who are aware about the frcem exam
