Nice surprise .. I bought this mainly as a cheap emergency back up blade . as just stated this is what I use it for I have cut so far cedar soft wood and some Maple along with walnut small strips of rose woods .I found this by accident one day when I busted my regular blade and was shopping for another I had a extra few bucks and said why not . there were not a lot of reviews but they were all 4-5 .Okay I use it on Rikon 10" band saw making Native American flutes . I do almost all my cutting off that saw so when the blade breaks I am /can be at a stand still . Keeping a bunch of top end extra blades when starting out is very costly as well . so With prime 2 -3 days I can be back running and not a heavy tie up in Blade inventory . This blade filled in a gap for those days also .I am not going to rip down my blanks with this blade but I cut smaller cuts ,general band-saw cutting small re-sawing not 6inch stuff .The blade has held up . I would /will buy more at this price would recommend the blade for a weekend warrior type worker .I have not attempted to use it every day or would try to it is not that kind of blade but a spare back up yes I would buy it againBob Cowner CBF

PowerTec seems to get a bad wrap a lot of times for making cheap power tools and accessories. No, these are not the best band saw blades you can buy but they come sharp and last long enough for most hobby work. I'm not that concerned with blade marks from my bandsaw anyway because I usually take any curved cuts to my disk or spindle sander anyway for final shaping. I don't think they are as durable as some of the higher priced brands but they seem to hold up pretty well. I've used everything from 6 to 24 TPI and I've been happy with all of them. As for that easy to install feature, that's kind of a loaded question. I gave 5 stars because they are extremely easy to install - on MY bandsaw! I have a Rikon and I love everything about it but installation and alignment are really all about the saw, not the blade.

Last a long time if you treated right

I ordered this to replace a 10 year old blade on my Craftsman bandsaw. The blade arrived with a "kink" in the blade that was not obvious until I installed it and used it the first time. There is apparently a bump where the blade was welded together. Maybe the weld was not properly ground or sanded down? Anyway, there is a very noticeable "Bump" when I make cuts with this saw now. I have not used it for cutting anything that requires a super smooth saw line, and if I do need to make that kind of cut I will buy another brand of blade. I do not recommend this product.

After receiving my new Rikon bandsaw, I immediately put this better blade on! It's SO much sharper, and better made than the original blade! I plan on using it for some vintage guitar bridge work on older guitars. . . . . and just as a handy saw for odds and ends around the shop, to save time hacking hardwood pieces with my tiny fret and razor saws!

Tengo una sierra de banda craftsman 119.214000 en la que utilicé esta sierra. No he podido ajustar la banda pero es mas por culpa de la maquina, por lo que hace un poco de ruido. Sin embargo, el corte es más limpio y en general menos ruidosa de como estaba con la sierra original.No la he usado mucho, pero daré después más información.
