I think these will be very helpful
Very nice set of 5, well made and I think they will be very helpful in finding different types of minerals, fossils and for sifting dirt as well. Love that they fit in a 5 gallon bucket to carry to the work site as well.

Good solid well built screen.
The classifier screen arrived on time and in good condition. Looks like a good solid well built screen and should work well and last a long time.

Durable, well-designed
I chose this sifting set over others because it’s clearly built to handle real work, not just light hobby use. The screens are sturdy, stack neatly, and come in multiple mesh sizes, which makes sorting different materials fast and efficient. The mesh itself feels like hardened stainless steel—strong enough that it doesn’t bend easily, and after repeated use there’s been no sign of rust or corrosion. One of the standout design features is how well the bottom edge seats onto a standard 5-gallon bucket. That snug fit makes a huge difference in stability and comfort, especially during longer sessions. I’ve used this for everything from fossil hunting to reworking landscaping materials, and it performs consistently across the board. Compared to specialty equipment marketed specifically for fossiling or prospecting, this set delivers similar results at a much more reasonable cost. In practice, it’s saved me a surprising amount of time and money. I was able to reclaim most of my existing rubber mulch by filtering out dirt, rocks, and debris instead of replacing everything. When used for sifting sand and soil, it separates material cleanly and reduces strain on my wrists compared to older, square sifters I’ve used in the past. The construction is solid overall. The plastic is thick, the walls are tall enough to handle larger loads, and everything feels secure when stacked. These have survived multiple drops without cracking or warping. Cleanup is straightforward—most of the time a good rinse with a hose does the trick. That said, dirt can get trapped between the mesh and the plastic frame, which takes a little extra effort to flush out. There are a few design quirks worth mentioning. The mesh bows upward more than expected, which can cause heavier material to bounce or shift when sifting quickly. For casual sorting this isn’t a big deal, but for more precise work it can be a bit frustrating. There’s also a small gap around the edge where fine material can get stuck, which may require a DIY fix if you’re working with gems or similarly sized pieces. Choosing the right screen size matters. After seeing friends accidentally order sizes that were too coarse or too fine, I can confidently say the mid-range option is the most versatile for general use. The variety is nice, but it’s easy to overbuy if you don’t plan ahead. Overall, this is a durable, well-designed sifting set that excels at handling mixed material sizes and fits perfectly with standard buckets. While it’s not flawless and the price could be lower, it performs reliably and has held up well under repeated use. I’d absolutely buy it again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a tough, multipurpose sifting solution rather than single-use equipment.

Classify classify classify
I pan and sluice for flower gold in my area. I have multiple sluice types for different areas but regardless of the sluice type whether it be standard moss or 3D printed or dream mat etc.... classifying is a big part especially when going for the flour gold!! I started out with a pan and 1/4" classifier which worked but I wanted to run more volume. Regardless of what sluice type I used it was hard to balance the proportional volume in sluices to run 1/4" size and get it to flush out AND catch the flour gold. You know what I'm talking about if you have studied.... I now classify down to 1/8" at the largest before running through sluice on the river and then screen rest down at home to run through cleanup sluice for fines along with panning larger... my capture rate has improved a ton!!! (Well I wish it was actually a ton but...) Definitely a must have set in the prospectors tool box!

Worth the price
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Heavy duty. They are stackable and come with different size screen for screening varying size pieces. The screen mesh appears to be made of hardened stainless wire and would be difficult to distort and have never seen one rust or corrode. However the best feature for me is the bottom edge is rebated nicely to fit the rim or mouth of a standard 5 gallon bucket.

This item was on sale and purchased the last one. Amazon miss counted and had to ship from the USA to fulfill the order at the sale price. The sifter matches the other 5 I have and completes the set. The sifter works well with the others. I am using the sifter set for mealworms and beetles. They are a little pricy but work very well. All around the mesh on top and bottom are tiny gaps. Some hot glue from a glue gun works well and stops tiny worms from getting stuck.

I also purchased one with an additional finer sieve. However the meal meals get stuck around the rim as their are gapes between the plastic and wire mesh and they get trapped. On YouTube it says you can purchase liners to stop this but that means more money. Not happy. Additional information I am now keeping the set but will glue the edging of the rim and hopefully I won't loose any baby mealworms. These mealworms in the last 2 pics was found after shaking on the 14th day after 1st using.

These things make sorting your material a breeze. I was worried that the quality of the plastic wouldnt be that good or the mesh would be crap but I am impressed with how they performed on their first day out regardless of their price =:0 . I took home 5 buckets of material to sift through of nice sand that I have already tested and know has gold. There is basically zero crap and the material i have to work with is a breeze. Goodbye nasty big rocks hiding my gold! Anyhow, if you have places that have a large variety of rock and dirt sizes this set will help your speed and comfort greatly. My only suggstion is to get a spare pan.... I think 14 incher so that you can dump and gather material with one and leave the other under the sifters. Also I noticed that they only mention the grit of the pans in mm but I wanted it in inches so Ill leave that here for anyone else wondering. 1/2 inch, 1/4 inch, 1/8 inch, 1/12 inch and 1/20th. Oh yea also i found 3 fit into a large reusable shopping bag perfectly so i left the 2 smallest at home for ease and can pull them out once i am home with buckets of good material. HAPPY Hunting!!!
