I think keeping the tap closed is prime to avoid this. Installation can not be easier but I would be happier to have some picture guide about the cap to attach to the tap.

This one is left permanently attached in my garden, and for this location only needed to be about 50ft. I have measured it 'limp' at 17ft, then again while fully erect (!) connected to mains pressure cold water at 49ft (my tape only goes to 26ft if you're looking at the photos). That's close enough in my book.As with all these type of hose however, as soon as you operate the trigger water will come out, obviously, and this will reduce the pressure extending the pipe and the length will drop. By how much depends on which spray pattern you use. I tried the 'full' one and it shrunk by about 10 feet. This you need to be aware of. If you need a full 50 feet of hose you will need to buy a longer one. Once you get over this these hoses are great. It came with all the bits I need to connect it, and all these connector parts were metal.They say these things won't tangle, well they can, but it's way more unlikely than any other type of hose, cable or rope. If it's a tangled mess on the floor, usually just turn it on and walk the hose out and it seems to untangle itself. Also it doesn't really kink either.

If you have ever tried to pull the hose out from your back garden to the front to wash your car, but the water stopped all the time, and you had to go back over and over again to undo some blocks, that you need this. Easy to move, no blocked hose, very good quality spray head. Tons of different types of ways of spraying. The trigger can be turned on constantly, so you don’t have to stay there if you lets say watering a tree, or filling up a pool. I found myself not to use the pressure washer if the car not too dirty, the hose with this head is good enough by itself. Worth the price.

I cannot get a reply from the supplier. The fittings were not brass as described but plastic and painted alloy.The big problem is that the Warning instructions are in German - so I cant use it in case I do something to negate the warranty. Amazon are at fault here - they clearly dont quality check everything they put up for sale.Disappointing - the hassle now of sending it back and starting all over again.Since I wrote the above, the supplier has been in touch with me - couldn't be more apologetic, couldn't be more helpful. sent me through the instructions, and assured me if there was anything at all of concern to get i touch. I think Amazon should advise them on Trade Descriptions, but I dont blame the supplier. Take it all back due to the service, and have kept the original hose.

This is a good hose.The 1 I had was half the size and didt go as far as I neededSo I purchased this one as I bought a patio cleaner as I wanted my driveway cleanedThis 100ft hose is perfectIt goes from the garden tap at the backdoor all the way down the side of the house to the drivewayIt's a perfect length when switched onWhen I'm finished I just turn the tap of and water the veg and flowers withe the water in the hose. The b4 I knew it the hose was back to its original sizeIt was easy to attatch to the tap and the patio cleaner.This is a great hose at a grea priceIt's also good qualityThis hose is perfect for us.The service was excellent and the delivery was fast

I purchased this garden hose for my garden so I could get rid of the large hose I have. The hose is easy to fit onto my existing tap and looks amazing.I like the fact it shrinks when not in use so it doesn’t take up a lot of space and it’s very lightweight.

I have recently purchased a new electric power washer and I want to have a new house which I can use solely for the washer and keep my other hose for garden use. I purchased this hose as it had very good reviews and I wanted one that is extra-long and strong as it will be pulled across the driveway. It is nice and light and when not is use half the size of when it is in use. I just keep it wrapped and hanging in the garage, so does not take up much room at all. I tried all the accessories and connections and they are of a good quality and all work well. The pressure from the hose is great and overall very pleased with the purchase at a very good price.
