Very cute book, awesome ideas. Be careful when you bake the chocolate chip cookies, there is a misprint. Ours came out VERY salty and after watching Ro's video, we realized the book calls for salted butter and 2 teaspoons baking soda (it should be 1 teaspoon according to the video and the butter was not specified so maybe try unsalted butter).

the projects there are nice and there are some creative decorating ideas. however you should not treat this like a traditional cook book. the recipes as followed are wrong. one of them had 1/2 the quantity of an ingredient completely wrong. there are no tips on how to do some of the frosting work. exe the comic book cookies. no tips on making some of the harder frosting decorations, kept braking. the macarons recipe as followed was a flop. had to youtube a recipe and found it was vastly different. and the youtube recipe came out great. so if you pick this up, it's a very good IDEA book.

I bought this for my 10 year old daughter. She loves it! It's everything my nerd child could ask for. As a matter of fact, she made the hamburger cupcakes for a family reunion and everyone adored them. I love how seeing her become so involved with baking and decorating.Side note: Many of the recipes can be substituted for premade box mix if your short on time or ingredients. That's what we did with the cupcakes.

My 10 year old daughter wasn't interested in anything this winter except walking around with her headphones on & her nose glued to her iPad. I tried to get her involved in several different things, but all my efforts failed. This book was on her Christmas list so I ordered it from Amazon. The recipes are simple, classic ones like my grandmother & her mother knew by heart, the "nerdy" ideas are adorable. My daughter absolutely loves it. We bake all the time now- all kinds of different stuff. We bake just to give it away now because it's making it that's fun & there's no way we can eat it all. We've branched out & my daughter is coming up with her own super nerdy designs & cute ways to package them. We just finished handmaking all her 5th grade Valentine treats! & it all started with this cookbook!

This cookbook, by the Princess of Numminess, Rosanna Pansino, is full of delectable treats that are fairly easy to make. I know because my 8 year old daughter's Unicorn Poop Cookies were delicious and they looked like piles of rainbow poo! Lots to choose from in this great, first cookbook for Nerds who like to cook. It's a hard cover book that is printed on gloss paper and is very colorful with easy to understand instructions. Be careful of the binding though, my daughter has already broken hers. With care, this book can be passed down through the generations.

This book is absolutely beautiful. It has very nice and high quality full color pages, is easy to follow along with, well laid out, and sturdy.The decorating ideas in it are adorable and there are very nice photos of the different steps to give readers a good visual aid to help them recreate the recipes at hand. It also has QR codes to scan with your phone for easy access to templates for recipies! Never fear though, if you lack a smart phone it does have templates in the back to use as well, you'll just need to scan them rather than print them!I'm absolutely pleased with my purchase and would reccomend it to any of my friends!

This was the best received Christmas gift at my family's Christmas gathering. It is a very well laid out, helpful cookbook for beginning bakers. Before it gets into the adorable items themselves, it gives you basic recipes, a conversion chart, a list of different candies you may need, a layout of baking tools and what they are called, among other things. The treats themselves are adorable, and broken down in a way that even a beginning baker could create these items without too much trouble.

Love, love, LOVE this cookbook. The pictures are fun and vibrant, the recipes are adorable, and the everything is laid out very well in an easy-to-follow format. To be perfectly honest, my girlfriend and I will probably never make anything found in this book ourselves, but it's handy for when her niece comes over to visit us. It also makes a fabulous gift for anyone with a little "nerd" in their soul. My girlfriend's niece introduced us to Rosanna Pansino's YouTube channel, and we just think it's the cutest thing we've ever seen. Very fun and very well done!

The cookbook is fun and easy to follow, offering lots of creative and fun ideas. Unfortunately many of the recipes require the purchase of additional baking materials (special tins, moulds, bags, candy thermometers etc) making it hard for the average Home baker to actually try any of these recipes with the basics one might have handy, without a prior kitchen upgrade investment.

Rosanna is an incredible personality and her show ‘Nerdy Nummies’ is Extremely enjoyable even if I do not bake any of her creations.I bought this book to give me some motivation to do some cooking/baking. A plethora of recipes have been provided. Annotated images to really help the reader identify important steps in the baking process of each product.Rosanna has also included an extremely helpful 2-page annotated image of a Motherboard for her motherboard cake creation. Despite being an IT Technician, I found this addition to be of great help to those less familiar with technology and computing components.Recommend to anyone who loves nerdy and geeky stuff and would like to get into baking.

Great cookbook, my 8 yr old daughter watches Rosanna on you tube. She's brilliant. Easy to follow recipes with some science behind it.A must for any budding cook young or old.

I love this cook book and how it's laid out, lots of step by step pictures for all of the recipes and there are some really great ideas. The reason for 4 stars is because the pound cake recipe for the chemistry lab cake is totally wrong, she also has a youtube video for making the chemistry lab cake but in the video she suggests using Betty Crocker super moist cake mix which when I attempted the second time worked much better than the terrible pound cake recipe (I suggest using a metal ball pan instead of the pyrex bowl she suggests in the book) I also made the apple pie pie which tastes absolutely delicious and I've uploaded some pictures of the result.

It’s complicated but it wouldn’t be original if it wasn’t. I bought this after much begging from my daughter who is 7 and a huge fan. The recipes are ingredient/equipment-intense and time consuming but not impossible, fun to do together and the end result is very tasty. I’ll be buying the next book for her for Christmas.
