It is what it is, a tool.
The book is flawed here and there, and outdated. But such is the way of published things before internet... its still an invaluable tool for those obscure calibers noone make brass for, couple of good chapters/articles in the front of the book worth reading describing methods for creating brass from scratch if you can't form from other stuff.

For making obsolete ammo
Handy book for the reloader who wants to be ready to make ammo from other brass for those hard to find obsolete rounds.

Outdated and Unrevised
I'm giving this manual two stars, and here's why: This "4th edition" manual was obviously never revised since the first printing. Many of the base cases referenced as being a source to make other cases from are now themselves obsolete and no longer manufactured. Many of the brands/companies referenced as being a source for base cases have changed hands 2 or 3 times are no longer in business. Furthermore, many of the techniques or base cases recommended in the manual have been superseded by better techniques or base cases in the last 20 years - a testament to how out of date this manual is. Here's one example: To make the .577 Snider, the manual recommends using .577 Nitro Express cases sourced from BELL. BELL hasn't been around since 2002, and Jamison Intl. who bought BELL went out of business in 2011. Regarding their recommended base case (.577 N.E.) - you can make .577 Snider and many other cartridges from brass 24 gauge cases which cost $1 each - as opposed to .577 N.E. cases which cost about $4 each. While some of the conversions and techniques are still useful and applicable, overall I'm very disappointed in this manual.

Packed with information
Very comprehensive. Not only gives dimensional and historical data on just about any cartridge imaginable but a "How to" section with detailed techniques to accomplish the conversion and in some cases manufacture of an obscure or rare cartridge type. I did however find what I believe is a mistake in one dimension for the 22 Hornet (after checking two other sources). Well done and useful however.

Handloader's Manual of Cartridge Conversions
This book has been around for some time but it offers a different and easier to use format than previous editions. A valuable book for the reloading enthusiast, especially for those who are interested in obsolete calibers.

Handloaders Dream!
I love shooting antique rifles and handguns but it is very difficult to get or even find ammunition. This book provides dimensions on almost every type of ammo ever made. It also shows or explains how to make most ammo or adapt from other cartridges. Wonderful!

Good ref. book
A must for the avid reloader. But with many gaps in it. Like the 9.5 x 57/9.5 x 56 M.S. and the .240 Apex. These are two of the calibers that I reload. Though I have the set of CIP drawings to help fill in the gaps.

The book is clear and easy to use with a lot of extremely useful information
The book is clear and easy to use with a lot of extremely useful information, particularly if you;re new to converting cartridges for obsolete calibres. The dimensions for each case are really useful, but using a key to identify which measurements you need is a bit frustrating. However, it is a great reference to have.My only disappointment at first was the quality of the paper, however after carrying it around for a while the weight difference was soon apparent; it's quite a tome!I would reccommend this book as a really good guide to cartridge conversion.
