The main protective piece is 23cm high by 16.5cm at its widest point but there is further neoprene padding behind this extending the width by a total of 10cm.First appearance is they look good quality so I'll hang on to them and buy the Small instead.

These are the 2nd pair I have bought. The first pair were for an 8 year old size XS for my 2nd son (6 years old) size XXS. They stay on and in position giving extra protection for the Fibula. Bought for hockey but used also in football.

These shin guards are brilliant. I was using football ones for hockey and my ankles were in bits so I bought the full rigid hockey ones and thought they were very uncomfortable. I then bought these and find them very comfortable and have plenty of ankle support.

the medium and large are exactly the same length - just the large is for thicker legs. There were no measurements provided on the description which is why I had to buy both pairs. I returned the one which didn't fit.

Only just tried them on, have not actually used them in game yet and the fit around my leg is very good. Time will tell about the build quality. Could be a bit more breathable (more holes on the plastic shin)

Much bigger than the previous sizes which had been outgrown, not so tight. Good protection.Smelt really musty when it arrived like it had been kept in a shed or similarly cold/damp place.Have used for several weeks and items appears in good condition since

Excellent shin guards. Protective guards around the ankle area too. Belgian straps a pain but should be of some use.

Great protection, we wash them in machine and they don't seem to damage
