This is a great tool when temperature measurement is needed
The price was great, and this tool performed even better than i imagined. It has 2 channels. The channels can be displayed individually (1 at a time), or the difference between the two can be displayed. 2 each of 2 different types of sensors (small wires or stainless pointed tube) are included with the meter, so this should fit almost any small temperature measurement need. I have found it to be very handy for my needs.

Works great
Works great. Just what I needed at a good price. Maybe not built for durability bc wires very thin but worth it.

Not so sure about this unit. Some reviews seem to be for a different model.
Seems to be working well enough between 0C and 100C. Will probably work for my purposes and the price is right. Documentation leaves a lot to be desired. So 4 stars right now. However, I am a little concerned that the unit went completely dead after using it a couple of minutes. There is an auto shutoff, but turning on/off did not fix. Changed the battery and it came back. Auto shutoff seems to work now, as it comes back after power button is pressed. So far so good, but still....Factory reset occurs when changing battery - not mentioned in the manual or description. There is no calibration option despite some reviews mentioning it.There is no certification of accuracy, not surprising given the price.Plugs are extremely tight. Requires some care as unit does not seem very sturdy.Actual temperature range is confusing. Temperature range in the manual is 50C (?) to1300C and also says -50C to 400C for "TP01". Am I supposed to know what "TP01" means? Type K thermocouples should be good to at least 1200C.

can test 2 temps at switch
a great meter

poor quality
Poor quality, one of the inputs didn't work right outta the box and the other is wildly inaccurate. The thermocouple sockets are junky. Thermocouples themselves aren't too bad. Overall cheap feel . Going right back.

So far so good
I bought this to monitor kiln temps, both inside and surface temp. It’s worked fine on two low temp (1000 F) firings. In ice water the probes are with 0.5 degrees. In steam at 14.7 psig they are within a degree.I’m going to buy a ceramic clad sensor for the higher temp of 1850 F. I’m not sure the one supplied will make it without melting the wires. Can’t get back lighting to work at all. But that’s ok. The screen is readable.

Min,Max,Average is broken. If you need that, do not buy.
Overall OK. Make sure the sensor in plugged in in the correct direction. Seems to make about a 2-3 difference at room temperature. The nylon-stainless probes are not labeled +/- that I can see but looks like having the letter K "up" is correct. You mileage may vary. Also, the min/mav/average is non funtional..at least at lower temperatures. Have not have a change to try higher temps yet. When you turn it on (auto off btw - no workaround) if starts at 10-15 deg low and then gives a correct readying after a sec or two. This mean the starting min is ALWAYS wrong and average will be wrong as well. Still trying to decide to call that defective and return it or not.

You Get What You Pay For
Had Fluke 51 II that died, and was looking for a replacement. Ended up getting this due to low cost. However, it doesn't do what my Fluke did, though maybe I'm spoiled. No brand name, instruction book poor, not really pleased with device--especially compared to what I had.
