DIOES IT WORK WITHOUT PRIOBLEMS - NO
I purchased bulb to fit in a mother and child standard lamp which has a dimming switch.Bulb fitted into lamp OK, the dimming switch worked OK but in the off position the bulb stayed on.Bulb no good for this lamp because it will not switch off.I had seen that this was a problem with some other dimmable bulbs on sale but there was no-one reporting this problem for this supplier.

A very difficult fit and limted dimmer control when replacing halogen original.
Much improved energy efficiency over halogen lamp used in uplighter unit.For a supposedly standard fitting R7s the dimensions were fractionally large and I had to use a file on the ceramic bulb holder in order to wedge in the LED unit. This arises due to the larger diameter of the LED unit compared to the halogen type. The Halogen bulb it was replacing was a larger wattage than the advertised 75-100W replacement size. I believe this caused the dimmer to not smoothly adjust level and resulted in pulsing light at mid range and effectively left me with a choice a high or low setting - the high being somewhat less brightness than the original at max power, The lower level suited me fine and the limited control was not an issue, paticularly when used with the separate reading light attached to the up-lighter. The pros outweigh the cons when benefit of energy efficiency is concerned.

They worked
Used these to replace halogen bulbs in dimmable standard lamps but they only switch off if the dimmer isolates when switched off or it has a separate isolator. dimmers that have residual power going through might not illuminate a halogen bulb but they will with LED's.

Low power cost
As I have a Smart Meter I'm able to see how much these things cost. The Halogen bulbs I had were using just over a 100 Watts, these new LED ones use just over 10 Watts - They are less bright than the Halogen ones, but the Halogen ones were way too bright, these give a perfect light in the upstairs Bathroom. and downstairs toilet where we have these types of ceiling lights - no brainer really!

Didn’t dim
So if you want a replacement for your living room, we all have that type of light in them!This is not the one, when fully dimmed it’s still 50% output and turned off, for me, was still 40% on.So I sent them back.

Led bulb
Fitted bulb, but it stays on constantly although switched off at the dimmer switch. I have read it may take time to go out because Led bulbs use a lot less power. Will test for a few days and report fault to Amazon if it does not rectify itself.

Remaind persistently on
Worked perfectly but would remain on even if the lamp was switched off. Possibly a fault on the lamp, however, the lamp works perfectly with a "normal" bulb. The lamp was fitted with a dimmer so possibly this was the issue.

Not as expected
I was looking to replace my halogen bulb but unfortunately the LEDs just don’t have the brightness that I require. So will have to stick for little while longer
