This storage cabinet is fantastic value for money. Well built with good finishing, quick and courteous assembly by the service agent. We're using it as a storage for our son's toys - we returned the rental (MDF) toy cabinet and bought this one on a lightning deal - effectively this works out cheaper than a year's worth of rent and was a no-brainer to buy. Only possible con is that it's lightweight (being pine) and may get dents and scratches over time. We plan to re-sand it to remove the light varnish and paint it if that happens.

had few scratches , made of deal wood , but superb finish cost bit higher only will i buy furniture frm amazon basic post this ??? answer is no ... becoz of higher cost , scratches etc ..

This is not solid wood. Mis advertisement. All the solid woods or 3-5 inches are glued together and thet call it solid wood. It is of no strong. Better than particle wood ir equivalent to MDF. Not worth the price. Feeling Looted

I have a home based business, and we've moved into a new house, so I was looking for storage options. I really wanted something between a cubby and a bookcase, something short so it wouldn't cover the window, and sturdy enough to hold my 16 pound cat should he decide to claim a shelf. This is perfect! It's taller than the window sill, but it's not blocking the view or sun light. It's not so big that I feel crowded (my "office" is the landing at the top of the stairs). I love the longer shelves, since I can store paper samples, T-squares, longer rulers, and my boxes of photography accessories (the different shelf sizes is really what got me). I'm so happy with this purchase! Assembly was fairly easy, I did need my husband to hold a few of the shelves steady so I could screw them in, but it took about 15 minutes to put together. It's a bit awkward to move alone, but I was able to manage it. Overall a wonderful purchase! I just wish I could find a taller, 4 shelf bookcase in the same wood/finish!

I bought this as a nicer alternative to the cube-storage units for my bedroom. The packaging was interesting - the styrofoam that fills the spaces were covered with plastic. That keeps it from shedding crumbs all over the floor, though it is extra waste to deal with. The wood is nicely finished, with rounded edges at the front. Assembly was straightforward, the pieces are numbered, and it was mostly doable by one person. The finished shelf is sturdy and I really like the light color finish. The inner dimensions of the shelves are 10 1/4" high,12" deep, and 15" or 31" long, so you could fit some of the lower cube baskets in there.

Tickled pink by this little shelving unit. It comes well packaged and arrived without damage. Assembly was intuitive - no need to review instructions whatsoever; required about 1 hour of casual pace to fully assemble including unpacking. Once put together these feels very sturdy. The sides and shelves are wood - a light pine color that almost resembles birch. The back board is composed of a thicker fiberboard with matching grain appearance. Pins/pegs are used for each shelf with screws to reinforce. All hardware is included. Overall size is highly functional - able to stack piles of books without any sagging or warping - far superior to press board. Very light finish makes this easy to clean and smooth texture. Overall very pleased - waiting for full size tall case to buy more of this line!

The size of the shelf was perfect for the master bedroom. Unfortunately, the shelf needs to be laid flat on the floor to assemble. That was a bigger challenge getting enough floor space to put it together in a bedroom without that much room. Thankfully, I only had to assemble it one time and now that it is in place, I don't have to worry about doing it again any time soon. Just realize you need a 4 foot by 5 foot space to properly assemble and walk around the shelf on all of the sides.

I really like the look and feel of the shelf. I found it easy to put together and I did it by myself. I only gave it two stars because of the defective piece. One of the main pieces(side piece) has a large defect right next to the screw. I don’t want to take it apart and box it up and ship it back so I’m hoping it holds out. Edited for follow up: contacted Amazon and they sent me a replacement shelf and it had no defects at all. Changed to 4 starts.
