The photos are of my un-top coated ombre nails. I'm a semi-professional nail tech (I have a day job too) but hate doing ombre with brushes- it's very time consuming. Since I prefer the sponge method, these are a game changer for gel ombre. Since you need to remove guards, liquid skin or the band aide type, before each cure (or the product with cure onto the guards and therefore the skin as well creating a mess to remove- I know, I did this years ago!) these remove in a flash before each coat and can simply be submerged in a little dish of alcohol and wiped off between coats. SO MUCH FASTER. I did this entire ombre, 4 coats plus stickers (although no top coat yet) in 30 minutes. I can see how they wouldn't be fabulous if you bought them simply because you're a messy polish applier, but for stamping or ombre, particularly with gel, they are a MUST!! As well, they come in a good variety of sizes and I simply labelled the guard size that fit each of my fingers (thumb, pointer etc) I just bought more to use on my clients!

Ok I have no idea how I missed it, but I purchased these without looking at reviews/rating, which I almost always base my final decision on buying a product. I agree 100% on all the bad/low reviews, this product does not work! With all of the sizes I still could not get a proper fit to do my nails and save the hassle of messy nail polish to clean up. Throwing these suckers away!!!!

I was excited to pick this up for an individual who has a slight hand tremor. I figured if their hand shook and the polish went to the side, it would land on this piece. However, they are just not that easy to keep on and in place. We used them once.

These protectors are a strong plastic and protect the fingers from too much polish. Choosing the correct size can be a little tricky and the protectors fit very tightly. I did my nails quickly and neatly. It would be nice if they covered the cuticle area.

These didn't work with my nail/finger shape. I have narrow nail beds with a lot of skin and they're I guess overly curved.. I'm not sure but these didn't sit right no matter which size I attempted to use. Added a picture to show what my fingers/nails look like for reference.

I was nervous after reading the other reviews but seriously, these made me painting my nails soooo much easier.My hands shake a lots so I always mess up, but using these it was a breeze.Yes a bit hard to find a “perfect” fit, bit for the cost who cares?Definitely recommend if you’re like me and avoiding salons due to Covid and to save money.

Im sloppy with my non dominant hand. I bought this to help me get the process over with. I read the reviews and bought it hoping they were exaggerated complaints and unfortunately they were all right.Pro: they come it various sizes to fit your fingers. They are made of plastic which in imagine make them easy to clean. They have numbers to help you identify your sizes for future reference.Cons: they pinch you in a way that you can’t ignore it. They don’t cover your cuticles area for the flawless look you’re looking for. They slide around which I’m sure would let polish seep in.Maybe they can be used for tiny fingers, like children. But adult fingers I can’t see how they won’t hurt.

These worked PERFECT! I did have some gel pull off the stencil still attached to my nail, but it was super easy to peel away. My nails look great using this product, no mess!
