Scotch Self-Seal Single-Sided Laminating Sheets, Letter Size 9 in x 12 in, 10-Pack

We needed to make some signage and post it quickly. Used the single sided lamination to adhere 8 1/2 x 11 pages to glass. They worked well giving the project a professional appearance for low cost and rapid deployment.

I love this stuff. You cannot reposition it but the air bubbles are easily rubbed out. It’s like magic. Not sure how it does this! Nice and sturdy! You have to really rub it and it becomes very clear and pristine. Use your hand. I also use a very clean microfiber cloth and try a small area first. I find if you pull a small one inch section on one side and then slowest push down the top over the bottom as you are pulling the sheet, it will keep things from messing up.

I love the ease of the product to make stickers, BUT I won’t even get to use these since the postal carrier shoved it in vertically & ruined the paper. 🙃🙃🙃 Not worth the hassle to “save” a little over a $1.

The stickiness of the self-laminating sheets is noticeable. The quality of the laminating sheets is very good. The value of the money is worth the purchase. The use is multi-use for what is needed to laminate. For bendability, I check it out after I laminate the papers.

I've used this product over the years, but as a materials engineer, have noticed that they've changed the material used. It used to be polypropylene, which is: archival quality, very clear, and completely safe. They've switched to PVC (polyvinyl chloride), which is: not archival quality, not clear (more of opaque), and is hazardous. It is a known carcinogen, and can cause respiratory and reproductive harm. Do research yourself and see if that's something you want in your home and your life, and if you want to contribute money towards that industry. Most of the older, blue writing-on-white (the instructions side) still had PP. I noticed the change to black writing, probably for Scotch to save money, just as switching to the cheaper, nastier PVC did, but with same cost to the consumer, and greater risks (thanks Scotch!) You can see the difference between the original PP and updated PVC if you hold the sheets to light. PP has a clear and even finish, while PVC is cloudy and somewhat bubbly. I've already thrown out my remaining supply, and have gone to Avery, which is currently being a responsible company. Really 1 star, as this is an unhealthy product and lousy for clarity (and protection of documents), but I went with 3 stars so it wouldn't be so buried.
