Black Stallion AH3035-NS Glare Blocker Welding Helmet Glare Guard - Welding Helmet Neck Sun Shade Shield

I always struggled welding, because the glare caused by light from behind on the inside of the shade. with this hood/glare shield that is gone and I am able to see through the shield much better.

The quality and construction is good and it definitely helped to keep most of the glare from the sun out of my hood. However, I do think the flap on the back is to small to be efficient in blocking sun light from the back.

I don't understand why some dislike this glare blocker as it does a great job of blocking out light coming inside your welding helmet from the sides and the rear. One of the hardest things for me to do is run a good, straight and steady weld with my mig welder outside on a sunny day. The reflection of the sun against my helmets inside lens completely blocks my vision. This works great at eliminating all of the backlight coming into your helmet. Easy to attach and once you start using it you don't even notice that it's on your helmet. Even when you lift up your helmet, unless your helmet can move straight up, you don't notice it is on. It's very lightweight, easily adjustable to fit your helmet and even has a hole in the back for your headpiece adjustment knob. The only con is that it is a little bit cumbersome to store but, it comes in a heavy plastic envelope that you store it in flat, once you are done using it.

I was very happy with this but for some reason the fiberglass rod broke. I cut the fabric open to see what happened. It happened overnight while it was installed on my hood.Not sure if it will be a continuing problem but I will order another one to find out.

this product is so easy its stupid. it does work but catches wind as its like affixing a sail to your hood. i reitterate it does work but i would not buy another one as it wasnt what i was shopping for. once it dawns on you how it works it does work with 99 percent of hoods despite what some reviewers say. like previous it does work but not what i thought it would be.

The hood isn’t perfect but it’s better than nothing. If you do a lot of welding outside in the sunshine it’s a sight saver. Shore wish someone would build a welding helmet wit an attached leather hood that you could button to hood when needed.

Looks a little weird BUT it really helps with sunshine. With or without glasses it stops the internal glare inside the helmet.I weld repair work outdoors often and this product works better than the hoods I made up before.

From the factory two of the same side of velcro was used so it wouldnt hold but contacted the company and they immediately sent out a good one.
