That it was better then the TV story/movie

It's cool that people can have digital access to what is otherwise a very expensive piece of American history (it's out of print, so you're going to pay around $70 for a used copy).Everyone knows the story - Someone actually had been hired to kill another person, got caught, and this book was found in their possession. This led to a very important legal case as to what constitutes the right to be published. "Rex," of course, was exposed as a suburban housewife who was contracted to write the book for a publisher during the trial. Kind of silly when you think about it, especially in light of the stuff floating around the internet now, but in historical context it's kind of neat.The only issues I have with this kind version is that the pictures don't work and there are typos which do not exist in the original version. I am not lowering my rating for this reason, as that is reviewed for a different part of amazon. I just want to warn anybody who might be trying to download it that this version has problems with the graphics and obvious typos.

the material in this book is in fact quite interesting, but not to be taken seriously. the book here in digital form in missing the original images. Also on an interesting note, the original publishers where taken to court some years back as someone accused of murder said that they used this book in plan the killing. the victims family sued the publishers and they where told to stop publishing and destroy any remaining copies. i personally have read many books on the subject but i have never though "hey i am going to go out and become a killer". i was going to use this book for research, for writing, but i feel as though the book is incomplete without the pictures and therefore not worthwhile having in my collection. so i have returned my copy. i will buy it if in the future they include the pictures.

This is sadly a horrible thing. The book is very good, very detailed, and very good. I do wonder if the techniques detailed in this book are useful in this modern day and age, knowing that this book was written in the 80's. The advances in criminology have came and things is pretty complicated. I do like this book and it seems useful, I'm very sad that the digital copy of the book does not include illustrations that are almost essential to the manufacture of the lockpick as well as the homemade silencer. It was a very large disappointment to me.

This was a very interesting book in a chilling sort of way. I wanted to read this book because it was sited in a 1990's murder for hire trial. It had a lot of information and how to' s. I remember seeing a documentary about this author and this book. It s not a book for everybody but I enjoyed reading it. My only complaint was all the misspelled words the editing could have been better.David Papa Place Jr

Wow! Great too see this back in print since it was forced out of print. Especially now available in Kindle. Though one small problem, all the diagrams and pictures are missing. I have the original book and they're definitely missing. But still good to be back in print. Thanks.

The only part about this is the punctuation and spellings of some of these words are awful. There's also no pictures of what kind of the tools l look ike for educational purposes. But it's funny it ok had though.
