Origins of a weapon
As the name complete collection I dictates, this collects a large chunk of the initial appearances of x-23. However, be warned that there are text pages explaining events that occurred in other books not collected here. The story itself is really good. Laura's origin is tragic, and the various writers do a really good job showing how the program twisted her into the weapon she was born to be. The art is abit more scattershot though, a lot of it is great, some of the random one shots included are rather rough looking.I bought this after seeing Laura in Logan, and I did not regret it. If you are following her in the all new wolverines title or are curious about the character from the movie, I'd definitely recommend this title.

X-23 Complete Collection
Since the movie Logan I wanted to learn more about X-23. So I learn she was cloned from same place that made Wolverine. Like him she was too smart and strong to keep contained. She went looking for him so they could both be killed not deserving to live as weapons. Along the way she meets some Avengers and others. After finding him they have an incredible fight but Wolverine shows her even though trained and raised nothing more than a killing machine she can be whoever she wants. So it's hard but she wants to try.

Almost Perfect: Two Claws SNIKT!
X-23 (Laura Kinney) only seems fully realized when paired with her creators Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost, leaving the rest of the collection lacking. That being said, their collaboration on "Innocence Lost" -illustrated by Billy Tan- and "Target X" -illustrated by Mike Choi- are must haves for X-Men fans looking for more complex and mature material from marvel. The story, art and characters are all damn near perfect albeit changing their continuity by adding a character in "Target X". This, however, didn't distract or detract from my enjoyment of the story. While I highly recommend this collection, I did subtract a star for the stories in the back half of the book. They appear lazy and downright bad compared to the origin stories. I would have much rather seen her story lines from NYX and New X-Men included.I also found Marjorie Liu's (whom I usually enjoy) contribution somewhat offensive and derivative after everything Laura has gone through. The story seemed unnecessary in general and unnecessarily collected here as the second complete collection has the majority of Liu's run.Pick this up for the amazing art and story found throughout the first 12 issues -the price is great for those alone!- but skip out on reading the last 4 unless you plan to finish Liu's run or you're a completist like me.

Great Collection
I would definitely recommend this collection. I've been a X-23 fan ever since her first appearance, and this collects 2 of the best stories shes featured in, plus a few more that are ok. The book its self is thick, good quality, great value for the price. The only negative ill give it is the last two stories could be better and I wish they used Mike Choi's art for the cover. But the first two stories are easily worth the price alone and earns it 5 stars. Definatly going to get vol.2

A fantastic read
I wasn't very familiar wit h x-23 other than just some basic knowledge, so ordered this graphic novel to read before "Logan" comes out. Wow, was I surprised. The writing and art are fantastic, I would have to say this is one of the best, most entertaining novels in my collection.

Awesome compilation!
Awesome compilation!!! I didn't know anything about X-23 and out of curiosity decided to by this! No regrets at all, loved all novels and the artwork on each one, even though its very different between one another, they're each very unique and astonishing!!! Fully recommended to current fans and those who would like to start following this story!

This is a must by for all x-men fans not just wolverine fans
X-23 has is amazing. Fox should take note and have her replace hugh jackman. This is filled with more than enough material for three times the price they asked for. You won't be disappointed

Great comic collection
Great comic collection. I will be the first to admit, I hated the idea of X-23. I thought not another Wolverine imitation, but like every other obsessed Marvel fan I grudgingly bought and read the origin story. That was it I was hooked, here was a character capable or actually surpassing the original. Apart from the obvious differences there are subtle differences in there personalities as well. This collection contains the first 6 issues of the origin, 6 issues of sequel mini series Target X, then two, one shots specials, the finally the first 3 issues of X-23’s own series, finished off with a short story of a team up. Just on a side note, the X-23 series takes place after after the X-Force collection.X-23 was created to be a weapon. The perfect killer. However they did not count on Laura. This is a great collection of X-23 choosing her own destiny, and her own past. These are the first steps of her journey. I make no secret that much preferred her as X-23 rather that Wolverine. This is X-23 at her brutal, damaged, but never broken best.

She deserves her own movie or TV series
Very good, well written and thoughtful work. Despite being an emotionless amoral killing machine, the young teenage X-23 still manages to come across as a sympathetic and identifiable character. The artwork especially by Mike Choi is very, very good. However, be warned, this book isn't for families or young children, I wouldn't recommend it for under-teens

One of the best stories in Marvel with incredible art!
If you like the X-Men or Wolverine or just good comics in general, read this! Not only is the story riveting but the art is incredibly beautiful as well. There really isn't much else to say except that anyone who likes good comics/graphic novels NEEDS to read X-23's story.
