Great little speaker!
A great value in a center channel speaker. Compact design but big sound. Takes up very little space, can be wall mounted. Dialogue is crystal clear. Despite small size, pumps out some nice bass. Using with a Yamaha RX-V6A av receiver. It's a real bargain in a great sounding speaker.

Big improvement!
Very happy with this center speaker. Really improved the dialog and overall sound quality in my 7.1 system.

Sounds good
Sounds good, no complaints. Our hased as a replacement for the stock center channel that came with my Yamaha receiver.

Well worth $80 for a small center speaker
I bought this speaker for it's thinner depth. Fits easily on top of my fireplace mantle without the front of the speaker hanging over the front to be cooked, like my original Sony center speaker in the location.Sound quality? Acceptable. With dual 3.5" speakers in this box I don't expect much low bass notes projection. But the treble definition is good enough for movie dialog. I'm breaking the speaker in as I write this with Radio Swiss Jazz streaming at a medium volume level. Using the neural THX setting on a high end Pioneer home theater receiver.Given the compromises of my living room space, necessary wife approval factor and budget, this low cost speaker is mid-fi done well. This Made in Malaysia box is solid. Screw terminal connectors are good quality. Fit and finish are CNC precision.I've always appreciated Yamaha quality. I've owned their guitars, guitar amps, record turntables, motorcycles, etc... I have a second simple 2 channel vintage Yamaha receiver in my garage that I use exclusively to listen to vinyl. Powers big Phase Technology speakers. I'm a musician, sometimes I get amazed by how good my cheap stereo sounds. And I've owned expensive hi-fi equipment in the past. Sanely got over that maddening gear acquisition syndrome disease and settled for simply enjoying music without worrying about the equipment used. This speaker gets the job done. No muss, no fuss.

Great value!
Easy to install, fit perfectly under my tv, sounds great as a center speaker and you can’t find a better speaker for the money.

Perfect Fit In Front of TV, Plus Good Sound
When I decided to swap out the sound bar I was using as a center speaker (yeah, I know), I looked for a center channel speaker that would be small enough to sit in front of my TV yet good enough to do a better job. Cost was also a factor. I finally settled on this Yamaha speaker, and I don't regret it a bit. The sound is clear with good range, although, of course, the center channel doesn't test sound quality the way the other speakers do, and it works just as well with music and it does with home theater video.I love that it comes with its own speaker wire that has already been scored at the ends so the buyer can just slip off the plastic coating, twist, and connect to a receiver. (Audiophiles will likely want a smaller gauge/thicker wire, but the included wire is perfect for the average consumer.) Note: this is not a powered speaker. You must have an audio receiver to use it.The speaker is 4 1/8" high x 13 3/8" wide x 5" deep, including the grill.-- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

Good sound in a small desktop size enclosure
I've been looking for awhile to find a center channel for the PC to hook up to the receiver. I have a Klipsch bookshelf surround and Klipsch doesn't make a desktop size center. Actually not many manufacturers at all let alone something that's decent quality! So not easy finding a center channel in this size of good quality to fit on a desk that can pair and sound as good as Klipsch bookshelf speakers. This small Yamaha center does very well paired against the Klipsch's. The tone matches so close in fact that I didn't bother with calibration which is a nice surprise. The Yamaha center is a dome tweeter but it does very well against the horns on the Klipsch's and the clarity of dialog is also very good.I don't think it's loud enough to go in anything but a small living room but for my purpose as a desktop center channel it does exceptionally well.Has a nice solid weight to it and supports banana plugs. Overall really pleased with this small center from Yamaha.

Great Center Channel Speaker
After doing a lot of research and looking at the construction of the various speakers, as well as my size requirements, I decided this was the speaker to get for my center channel. We all know that the center channel is the most important speaker since it will basically provide us with the voices in movies and direct-on sound effects. You don't want to go cheap on the center speaker.I've been using this speaker now for months and love it, love it, love it. The sound it produces is true and clean. Since my 55" TV is on a stand, instead of being mounted on the wall, I tried to put the speaker in front of the TV but autistics and the fact that the top edge of the speaker blocked some of my view of the bottom edge of the TV, I instead placed the speaker right behind the TV. The speaker is in the darkness behind the TV yet it sits on the stand centered behind the TV unblocked due to the design of the TV. The sound is astounding from this speaker. I'm thinking about buying another one to replace the one I have upstairs.PROS:- attractive design- perfect size not too big and not too small- awesome sound and clarity at high volume or low volume- no complaints from the wifeCONS:- none to date, I'll edit this review if I have any
