nice work
Fun book with many helpful hints and tricks. It is short enough to read quickly and long enough to use as a reference book. Well done.

It's worth it.
It's a decent book, I think there could have been a little more information but I did find value in many aspects of this book. I am satisfied with this purchase and would recommend it to people wanting to learn caricature or just to improve drawing facial features.

Something to whet the appetite
Perhaps I was expecting too much for a book of this price, but I was hoping for a lot more detail. It's a nice introduction, briefly going over many aspects of facial character drawing. Jim Van Der Keyl is undoubtably a brilliant exponent of his art, but this book is more of a broad summary of the subject, and we don't get to share much of his valuable knowledge. It looks like it was knocked together pretty quickly, and could have done with a proof-reader. I certainly enjoyed it, but would have liked to see some more specifics on what really makes a great caricature; stuff such as treatment of eyes and mouth, which he does so well but fails to explain in much detail.

Great Book for Begining Caricature Artists
I am cutting my teeth on drawing caricatures. I have a long way to go, but the birthday cards I have given to members of my family are adorned with caricatures of them doing things that I think funny. I am learning to "see" the caricatures in people and getting a handle on this. I only wish I had picked this book up when I was a student. I could have drawn caricatures of the teachers as they drone out the lectures. All-in-all a very good beginner's book that shows and teaches fundamentals of drawing caricatures.

Short book but very useful.
This is a short book but it teaches the creation of cartoons with a different focus. It is easy to follow and contains enough illustrative images.
