Pro-tec Classic Matte Skateboard Helmet

This is pretty much the standard for park/jump helmets. Despite the fact that the non-certified version is lighter and more comfortable, the CPSC certification is very important in terms of safety (Give this link a watch to see just how important: [...]). This was a replacement for an older helmet of the same model that disappeared, so I was surprised to find that it ran *even smaller* than the previous large that I owned. I typically wear a medium road/mtb helmet with room to spare. My previous ProTec Classic helmet was a large and fit fine, but this new one is much tighter for some reason, which is irritating. Finally, the shell is darker and the pads are a completely different color from what is pictured here, despite the tag stating that it is indeed the "Matte Grey" color that I ordered.

I bought this helmet in 2 sizes, x-small and small. When purchasing the helmets i was unsure if they were child or adult specific that is why i bought two (there was nothing in the description that specified child or adult).Upon receiving the helmets it was very clear the x-small and small are for children and the small fit my son perfectly. He is 8 years old and thinks the helmet is very cool. I like it because it meets the safety specs of both a skate and bike helmet and it eliminates the need for unneeded gear. He uses the helmet for both activities.

Great helmet made tonhigh standards. BUT i ordered this helmet wanting it specifically because of the orange padding. This is apparently an old photo. A pro-tec customer service rep offered me a refund when mine came with black padding and I inquired about it. Aside from that, the helmet is great and I would highly recommend a pro-tec helmet.

Helmet is great but th sizing was wrong. After i measured my head it said i needed a medium but it was way too tight. Luckily my sister needed a helmet an i ordered a large which fits much better.

When I ordered this helmet, it came in with a black interior, not orange like I had expected (and wanted). The helmet itself is great, my two year old son can wear a x-small (the small comes with X-Small pads).

My son likes this helmet a lot!!! He says it's comfortable and it fits perfectly. We have high expectations for products we choose to spend our money and this one is worth it.

Do not compromise with other brands, Pro-tec is the best! My kid will always wear a Pro-tec. Excellent fit and comfort. My son is two, and loves wearing it.

Sizing is wrong on website - a medium is 54 to 56cm and not 56 to 58cm
