Outdoor Explorer Kit

I bought this for my Grandson who just turned 4. He is a bit afraid of bugs, so I thought this might make them more familiar and less frightening. We unpacked it together, everything was individual packaged inside of the box. The back pack was a bit flimsy, but certainly adequate to hold all of his "bug" gear. I was particularly impressed with the little flash light. NO BATTERIES REQUIRED", how awesome. We had a great time playing "catch the bug" all over the house. The net was a little small ,fine for plastic bugs but too small to flip over when catching real bugs. He liked finding the plastic bugs and looking at them with the magnifying glass. This was a good, Grandma, Grandson game. I recommend this started kit for all the budding entomologists out there under the age of 5 or 6!

My son just got an explorer vest and hat and I got him to go with it. There are plenty of accessories for my two boys to share . The box was perfect for them to collect things. It comes with a divider that my boys found difficulty when taking the cap on and off, so I removed it all together. The round tongs are a lot easier for my kids to handle. The tweezer are a little flimsy and one needs to squeeze pretty tight to get a good grip. Also the plastic case and round tongs have survived so far but I am sure the second one of them step on it it will crack. It has no flexibility and it is very thing. My main complain was the net, it came ripped off the packaging but they didn't even notice. Overall, they love all the accessories and I have two very busy explorers.

My 3 year old son loves this kit. On the first day he broke the light by submerging it in water while I wasn't looking. In the next week he broke the net to the point where it couldn't be repaired. A couple of months later he broke the scissor-like bug catcher. Then the dog chewed all the yellow wrapping off the binoculars.Despite all of that, this has been a great purchase. The only thing I'd like to improve the sturdiness of is the net, but really it's not bad. My son was using it as a shovel to pick up stones, so it lasted remarkably well.For the money, despite the breakages, this has been completely worth it!

My daughter loves this, we go critter hunting all the time and all these little tools are so fun for her to play with. And the kids love the toy bugs, to my surprise they are constantly playing with them. The big scooper broke quickly, hopefully I can put it back together. and the bag it comes with is pretty much a strangling hazard as the cords are so long my girl wrapped it around her neck on the first go. That went straight to the recycle bin :/ other than that it’s a REALLY awesome kit & fun to open up the box.

We bought two of these for our kids for our camping trip and it kept them entertained the whole trip! They spent hours searching for bugs and collecting them in the containers to observe! My kids especially loved the little scissor-type catchers that enabled them to scoop up the bugs easily. Although unfortunately they broke pretty easily, the rest of it seems to be pretty durable. We searched other explorer kits on amazon and this seemed to be the best one for the cost. All of the contents were heavily played with on our trip and I'm very impressed! Highly recommend!

My boys absolutely love this product because they love to catch bugs. We got a couple of these for a 4th birthday. Unfortunately, I'm not even sure that we have enough unbroken stuff to make a full kit anymore. Children need to have a much better understanding of how to care for toys with this product. In the product's defense the 4yr old tripped and stepped on one of the cages so totally understandable that it broke. They rest I feel should not have broken. A piece fell off of the binoculars right after being opened, but we were able to glue it back together and one flashlight was broken when it arrived, they did offer to make this right by me sending the flashlight back and them giving us a giving a discount, but with two children during a pandemic this seemed more work than it was worth. Everything else broke while it was being played with. They are still very happy with the one bug cage we have left, binoculars, magnifying glass and bugs.

I purchased this for my 3 year old nephew. He has a detectice kit and enjoys solving mysteries so this seemed perfect.This was AWESOME. He just loves it. The kit is very small and I'd recommend it for 3 to 5 year olds. Great way to get a little one outside and exploring!The items do seem a bit cheap... but for the price and everything included I expected that. As long as he gets a few good plays out of it I am happy.

This explorer kit is a steal! I could easily see it being sold in stores for at least double the price it is on Amazon. Everything in the kit is sturdy and functional - even the compass! I would highly recommend this buy for any kids who love being outdoors and camping - it will easily keep them entertained for hours. My nephew is going to love this birthday present :)
