After reading the other reviews I was scared when the product came in to open the box. I was amazed at how wrong they were honestly. The box is beautiful and also could be a wood burning project or a canvas for a painter. No cuts, scratches or anything. The tools themselves are amazing, the scrap leather inside are medium size pieces. A lot larger than other kits I have bought in the past. The seller packaged this really well several items in bubble wrap, large bubble bags around main box, carefully put together and a manual of how each tool works and what it is for was inside. I am very pleased and would definitely recommend this product to others.

This kit was a great starter for me, my first project was a wallet phone case, I purchased the leather scraps, leather glue and edge cream. Thats the only other pieces I needed for a finished project. I would recommend this for a starter like myself! Also the cutting mat has been a game changer, probably shouldn't be mixing arts but I used it to cut out some scrap book paper art with the exacto knife and it worked amazingly!

Package arrived on time. Cardboard box was ok, but could have been bigger as once I took one tool out I couldn't put back in to shut box. Pros: alot of items for under 100 bucks to help someone just beginning Really helpful if you don't know what you need to start. Cons: hammer came bent and unusuable. I was truly upset by this as I couldn't use the kit for a few weeks until I bought a new hammer. It shouldn't have even been sent this way it was so bent. *see attached photo* The snap buttons/"rivets set" are very poor quality and are not matched up to the corresponding pieces. The leather hollow hole punches seemed dull Needles seemed a bit dull, and would have been nice to have them named or at least described for usage. Especially since most people buying these kits haven't used the needles before to know what they are used for. Overall decent amount of items for price. Quality is you get what you pay for. I have spent about the same amount in replacing parts, even before getting halfway through a simple strap mask ear keeper. If I knew more of what I needed to start, I probably would have bought each piece seperate and built my own kit.

I haven't used this yet but I can't wait! I had to share that the small toolbox from harbor freight held almost all of this set. It was absolutely perfect!

Tools are good - good variety - for specialty tools you'll need to go to Tandy. Most of the pieces are snaps, rivets, etc. Most everything in it, you'll probably need at one time or another. All-in-all, a good set.

I just received this. you have to put together the tool holder yourself, which is fine. However the pieces are NOT CUT RIGHT and would not fit together. It took a lot of effort to get them to fit, and the top part (where the little circle holes will not piece together at all. The variety of starting tools and rivets provided are nice, I did expect the hammers to be bigger.

Most of the tools are great, such as the punches, stamps, cutting blocks and map. However, there are no instructions on how to use each tool effectively so you'll need some experience or I strongly recommend books or how to videos. The whole negatives is it appears the groover does not effectively carve a groove line, and gets bits and pieces of little leather stuck, making you have to use a sewing needle to poke it out. There is also no oblong punch, which would be great for beginners making their first belt. The edge bevelor is ok, not the sharpest, you might have some trouble on thick leather. There is also no cutting knife, so be ABSOLUTELY SURE, that you have a dang good knife, or some kind of strip cutters like what Weaver or tamdy has if your making belts. But overall, it's great if you're on a budget.

Tiene poco que empece a trabajar con cuero solo por hobbie y la verdad es que con este kit no te va a hacer falta nada, bueno solo la materia prima pero tienes todas las herramientas para hacer prácticamente todo sin problemas.

Do not buy if you are half serious Most of the kit would be to small for a child to use,, the pictures are VERY deceiving and very poor quality typical chineese copys
