I used these for making vanilla extract. They worked great! My vanilla smelled fantastic and those who received as gifts said they like it much better than store bought vanilla. I haven't gotten in to my bottle yet but I am excited to try it out. The beans were a good size and smelled fresh.

These beans are to make vanilla extract, so they're a little smaller and more dry than you'd want for something else. I chopped them up and dropped into a bottle with vodka, and now have the tastiest vanilla extra.. yum!

You get what you are paying for. I bought to make vanilla extract but it says on the package not to split them. They are not good quality, but higher quality costs more. I did cut them up and put into vodka, but I am not getting much flavor from them after 8 weeks.

Read about how vanilla is hand fertilized/harvested. Then you realize how very special and remarkable a spice it is.

just needed a few and this fit the bill perfectly. Plus, they're not dried out like the store bought ones in a bottle.

I ordered vanilla from several companies..I ordered 2 packs of these beans due to the low cost...I might be able to get a very small bottle of extract if I use them all. Thinnest beans I have ever seen, all split and they look like the seeds were removed, at best I might get some decent vanilla sugar...This company definitely goes down on my list of never order extract beans from...But in the case of vanilla beans, you get what you pay for.
