One the best things I have used to connect wires. I've only used it for 4 different things and I already feel like I got my money's worth. Don't hesitate, buy now but get a heat gun too. I used a lighter and torch on a couple test pieces and it will work but you can easily burn the wires so I definitely recommend a heat gun.

After watching many ads on these connections I decided to give them a whirl since I was doing an all new setup on my 02 Excursion. Decided to try them out first on the new stereo harness and let me tell you, what a waste of time. They are either do not get hot enough to "crimp" in the middle metal section, or they get too hot that middle section melts off. Finally decided to crimp one and then apply heat and nope, the "solder" literally broke off. Sending them right back. What a waste of time.

Works as advertised. Used it on boat wiring. Time will tell how the waterproofing is. Easy to use and makes for clean connections.

These wire connectors work as they should. However, I would practice with them on some spare wires. Use a heat gun so you do not melt the heat shrink while waiting for the solder to melt. Once I had it down and a system, they are easy to use and seal.

I bought these wire connectors for my uncle. he is a handyman. he uses these connectors for fixing the outdoor speakers wirings and he said its very useful.

Ok top use so far. They could recommend what temp to use. My only concern is the Arizona heat in tree summer. I'm not sure they will stay connected but we will see.

The plastic melts around the same time as the solder and it leaves a hole which makes the "waterproof" connector useless.

These are amazing. I use them for car audio install and auxiliary lighting on my Jeep.
