The Armor Color-Coat screws are the perfect fastener for any project. A color-coded system differentiates screw length and matches it to the exact material thickness shown on the self-adjusting guide block, providing you the strongest pocket hole joint possible. The Color Coating also assists in reducing corrosion, making it a good choice when building outdoor projects. Simply place your workpiece into the Auto-Jig, clamp, and match the indicated color on your guide block to the screw color. This will give you the optimal screw length for your project. (Projects utilizing different thickness material will refer to the user manual for the correct match length) Screws come in coarse (for softwoods) and fine (for hardwoods) threads, with lengths of 1″, 1 1/4″, 1 1/2″, 2″, and 2 1/2″.

Just finished the project for which I needed these. Not sure why [too shallow?] but these #2 Robertson have a strong tendency to cam out. Never had this problem with Kreg screws, which I've used for many years.Note: being fine-thread, you know they're going into hard wood ... white oak in my case. So why make the square pocket so shallow?

Worked great.
These screws worked great for my woodworking project. I am building a bed frame with drawers out of Black Walnut and these screws are just what I needed.

This review for multiple Amazon shipment errors.
I ordered the 2" fine-thread screws for hardwood multiple times even after reporting that the incorrect item (2" course-thread) had been received. I hope someone catches this eventually. Until then order from the manufacturer and you will at least get the correct item. Armor makes a fine product, unfortunately Amazon doesn't know to ship it.

Impressive
So, I am making a stool out of some very hard Scottish Elm and chose to assemble the legs/aprons with pocket hole screws. I bought some Trend screws of the appropiate length. Due to the dimensions of the frame, I needed to put the screws in by hand with a ratchet handle and suitable bit. First screw sheared with seemingly moderate torque. I was unable to remove the broken screwshank so had to leave it in the leg. Rather than try a second Trend screw and risk shearing another screw, I thought I would try a different brand and chose these along with a set of extra length drill bits in case I needed to pre bore the holes in the legs. These Armor screws went straight in with once again moderate hand torque and without pre drilling the holes. So from now on I will buy Armor screws and not Trend.
