Very high quality product!!
Absolutely love this mic! As a volunteer Firefighter/EMT I wear my radio with this mic to work and everywhere, so it gets a lot of abuse and holds up very well! I like how it handles better than any I've tried and the sound is excellent! I definitely recommend this product!!

Sound is pretty low
I use this for my Vertex Radio that my department issued me. I don't know if its the radio because it's a Vertex or if it's the mic but Tones when they go off are really low comparatively to when I don't have the lapel mic on. All in all it works for what I need it to do and it is very durable in all weather environments (snow, rain, shine). Honestly a good buy. I can't tell if it's just my department's radio system, radio or mic.

Fantastic mic
I ordered this for a Vertex Standard EVX-531 model radio. It works well, the sound quality is good and it works well with no interference. I will purchase 12 more for the rest of the employees who want one.

Nice radio, static though
So far it seems like a great mic. I have yet to use it on an actual scene yet. It seems very sturdy and the plug to radio is strong. The only reason I gave 3 stars is because there is a lot of static noise when receiving. I can hear what people are saying. But it is a lot of static as well, more than my radio alone produced. I have a hard time hearing my radio when it is my turnout coat pocket so I am hoping this helps, as clear communications are as important as the tools you carry in.

Great buy
The mic I bought far out worked the cheap one that came with the radio. There is no more feed back if your next to another radio. I recommended they buy 30 more for other staff members. I never used the ear piece so I have nothing to add on it.

Can't handle moisture much.
It doesn't take much rain for the speaker to sound garbled. It doesn't rain hard in Seattle, either. I would expect this design to handle a "mist" with better quality.

Good Product
This has worked very well for me. Sound quality and volume is about identical to the radio's internal speaker. Works well for special events that are noisey and you need the sound closer to your ear
