Slide-In Old-School Lock

I have six cats, and one of them has sneakily figured out how to open the lower cabinets under the kitchen sink and get into the trash can I keep in there, often scattering trash all over the floor while searching for something interesting. I had been using duct tape to keep both cabinets closed but didn't like this, so thought I would try this babyproofing idea. I looked at several choices online and chose this one because it looked simple and didn't have any adhesives as some of the other choices did. It was easy to put on and easy to get off, and now my cat won't be able to get in there anymore. Great idea for cats or babies!

Easy to use. Perfect for my cabinets, as my knobs are far apart.

Functionality, what would make them better is if they had one "arm" longer than the other. Trying to replace the lock part onto two arms at the same time is not that easy, as you are leaning over, with the thing you took out of the cabinet in your hand.

I loved the cabinet locks i bought they are very easy to install and kids cannot open them. I have a baby gate for my kitchen for my 1 year old but there are times when she still gets through and we keep cleaning products and bleach under the sink. That cabinet was always the first one she would run to. Now i can be at ease knowing she cannot get into the cleaning products and that she is safe. It even works for my 7 year old so its a good feeling knowing they are both locked out of harmful products. These are a great product that are reasonably priced. I got them right away and even got emails from the company making sure everything was ok. I told them how much i loved their products and few days later another package showed up and they sent me more safety products for free. This is a great company with great products. A small business that really cares about their customers and safety of kids.

Have these on all our lower cabinets in kitchen and bathrooms. I didn’t want to permanently install anything, and most things you do screw in or adhere look like they break in the reviews. We’ve had these on for months and are totally toddler proof. Very easy to use/ and the white doesn’t look like an eye sore on my white cabinets. Highly recommend.

Good quality and hard enough to manipulate that sometimes I can’t get in.

My grandchild just learned to walk and is extremely curious about everything. He and his parents were due to visit and stay for a couple of weeks when I realized that I had not baby-proofed the house. I looked through a list of products and decided to try a Skyla product. After I received it, I was very impressed by the design of the cabinet child locks. It was truly designed with the child and the adults in mind. it was very simple to align and install. My grandson was not able to access the cabinets and it was a simple process for us to unlock them when needed. Perhaps the most convenient feature that other child-lock products did not have is one that have adults in mind. After the grandchild visit, I am able to "turn off" the locks. There is a small lever that disables the lock, returning the cabinets to regular adult use without having to uninstall the locks. I truly appreciate this feature as, unlike other child-locks, it allows us get back to normal without the hassle of having to unlock a cabinet for periods when there are no children in the house. It is a very intelligent product, definitely designed by people who are also parents.

Works well on earth you get the sliders back on. The hard plastic makes it hard to align with the arms

Easy to use as long as you don’t slide the lock tight against the cupboard handle and make sure the tabs to unlock face out - away from cupboard door. Leave enough room to slide your index finger over the end of the lock. Squeeze the locking tabs together with your middle finger and your thumb then pull the lock off with your index finger. I was concerned I would have difficulty after reading the review of another senior citizen who stated it was difficult to use for older people. I had difficulty too when I tried to squeeze and slide off using just 2 fingers. Hope this helps.

When I look at reviews the first thing I look at is how easy it is to use. This product is very simple, easy to use and works great. I have the 3m sticker locks and am now having issues getting them off.

Cheap plastic. Cracks very easily. Our previous ones which have been in use for 4 years are still good. I’d look for a different one if I have to buy again.
