An Awesome Book!!!!!
I loved reading Rosie’s Traveling Tea Shop. All about Rosie a Sous-Chef at a popular restaurant and a wife for eight years & Callum a Restaurant kitchen worker @ a popular bar and husband of eight years. Callum waited till I came home at 2am to inform me we don’t work, he does not love me and he wants the house after the divorce. I quit my job, packed my stuff, bought a food truck and went on the road. As a Tea Shop nomad. I met Aria at the camp ground. She introduced me to other nomads, and we talked about the circuit. Aria has a bookshop on wheels. We decide to team up and travel together and use each other’s wares to help each other’s business rock off on the other. For example pairing book collections with different tea blends. Read this book and experience nomad food/wares and many different experiences!!! This book will invoke many different emotions and inspire the nomad lifestyle.

Sweet Story, Fun Read
I don't normally read romance novels, but I liked the premise of this book as it sounded adventurous - main character begins a new life traveling and living in a newly purchased van called "Poppy". A former chef, Rosie plans to bake and sell sweets at fairs and festivals , traveling the circuit with other van lifers. Along the way she makes good friends, learns what life is like living in a van on the road and deals with the sorrow of her failed marriage and learning to trust again. It was fun to read about her baking experiences but even though this is fiction, it was hard to imagine she could produce the variety, complexity and amount of treats in a tiny van kitchen. As an RVer living in a small space too, ovens are half the size of normal and refrigerators can store little. Yet she bakes fancy tortes, cupcakes and cream desserts to sell to crowds. Then there is the need for water, sewer and electric hookups at each place the van lifers travel too. Electricity hookup is mentioned briefly, but nothing about the rest or how these sites are paid for. The van lifers seem to make ends meet a little too easily. In my opinion, the book also needed better editing, with grammar, sentence structure issues, etc. Sometimes I realized unusual spelling was because the author is British, therefore words have a different spelling than American English. All this aside, I found myself enjoying this book and interested to find out what happened to Rosie as she dealt with possible new romances and her life changing situations. Likeable characters helped the story along as well. Probably will not read another book from this author, but a nice change of pace from the usual genres I read.

A Wonderful Vacation of a Book
"I've been so caught up in what might happen, that I haven't thought about what might not happen -- and that's seeing the world in all its glory, the hidden lakes, the magic trees, the rocky paths no one has wandered down for decades, hearing a birdsong symphony just for one, watching the majesty of sunrise and discerning each hue of orange without rushing to the next thing. It's about appreciating the moment." -- Rosie, Rosie's Traveling Tea ShopWhat a wonderful, laid-back vacation of a book. I was unfamiliar with life on the road, about the lifestyle(s) of those vendors who travel from one roadshow and/or festival to the next for a living. And what a way to learn some about it -- in a picturesque area of England.Rosie, former chef, has struck out on the road, taking us with her. She grows throughout the book. At first, she is heartbroken, uncertain, scared. By the end of the book, she is confident, happy, and much more self-aware.The book has a little something for everyone -- beautiful scenery, friendship, romance, literary tea blends, books, and more. What's not to love?Highly recommended.

Delightfully Fresh and Endearing
Delightfully funny, refreshing and clever, this story of travel and self discovery will warm your heart. Rosie and her new friends are a colorful and lively bunch of characters! I enjoyed riding along with this group of vagabonds - sharing in their adventures (and pitfalls) of life, friendship, and romance. It was the perfect escape for a blustery, snowy, can't-go-anywhere day.I'm looking forward to the next "Van Lifers" journey with these wonderful travelers!

5 stars
I was looking for a fun, pleasant, witty romance after a reading slump (after binging way too many heavy fantasy novels in a row) and oh my word Rosie's journey delivered! After a series of impulse decisions she makes due to circumstances she has no control over, Rosie takes a journey that leads to new relationships, hardships, crazy rides, and amazing side characters where she completely finds a whole new version of herself in a novel that I, myself, just did not want to put down. I highly recommend this one.

Good story
I really liked this little story. Sucked me right in and I had to know what happened!!! The only thing is the ending was a little abrupt. I would have liked a few lose ends tied nicely with a bow or a cup of tea. Maybe I am like Rosie in some ways and wanted a bit more. But maybe as the theme went we don't have to have everything planned or need to know all the details. I would love the author to expand in this world if she could. Maybe from one of the other character's point of view (their own story) and who knows we might get a little more story about Rosie's life. Overall, good read and I would like to read it again!

Loved this
This is the best book I have read for a while and it really drew me in. The story was great and made me wish that I was brave enough to do what Rosie did. Loved all the Characters, what a great group of people apart from one or two, I wont give the game away. I was sad when it came to an end. When I finish a book I usually start another one straight away as in finish one book in the evening and pick up another the same evening but after reading this I didn't want to start a new book, I think book lovers will understand what I mean.

5 stars - Sometimes the worst of times turn into the best of times!
I felt an instant affinity with Rosie. She has her issues, but don’t we all *snorts**gives you the side-eye*Don’t even go there with me - we all know my issues have issues...I can’t imagine the pain and heartbreak Rosie must have felt to realise that her husband, the man she’d made all these plans with (okay, so who knows how much input he actually had *giggles*), was leaving her, and for another woman no less. Rat-bleep-da-bleep!Spontaneity? I’ll give you spontaneity! As someone who, on at least a monthly basis, says that she’s jacking it all in to sell up and hit the road in a camper van - I could totally relate to Rosie’s need to escape and start anew. But the more I think about it *taps chin*, a 40-year-old singleton with a mother and three cats in tow, isn’t the most appealing of circumstances in a confined space *snorts*Sorry, I digress (as usual) ...Adventure awaits! Well, if Rosie can put on her big girl panties and take a leap of faith that is.Rosie + Poppy (aka the bright fuchsia pink camper van) = A voyage of discovery.Following the festival route, Rosie meets a host of wonderful and colourful, eclectic characters who change her life. Who knew that the worst of times could turn into the best of times!Friendships are cemented and a slow-burn romance with a Jason Momoa lookalike ensues. Yup, you read that correctly *winks* I must confess, I’d have read this book just for Max. I know, I know - I have no shame *hangs head*I laughed so much reading this book. Especially at Rosie’s propensity for vocalising her inner thoughts. *sings* Awkward, but very funny. There were a few standout moments in Rosie’s story that really got to me emotionally. Yeah, I know I’m a sap *blushes*One such moment which caused a huge old lump in my throat (maybe it’s because of the everything that’s happened to me this last year) was when Rosie has an epiphany:“The real gift, as I’m coming to learn, is the people in your life, the friendships you nurture, the people you give your heart to...”Books take you on a journey, and if you come away with the warm and fuzzies then you can’t ask for more than that.RTTS is a delightful, feel-good romcom which will leave you with a smile on your face.

beautiful read. The beginning of it all.
I have always been a huge fan of Rebeccas writing. You may have seen not long ago I reviewed Aria's Travelling Book Shop written by the same author which was amazing. However, that was the book which came after this one.I am very disappointed in myself as I read them in the wrong order so I already knew the outcome from reading the second book first. Boo. My fault. Don't make the same mistake as me read them in order. This book focuses on Rosie, recently going through a divorce. This is her new start and adventure with her travelling tea shop. Along the way two men emerge. Ollie & Max... Max is another traveller and loves to wind Rosie up and is very kind. Ollie is an online friend, but everything is not as it seems. Who will she choose? Ollie or Max?A beautiful story. Where it all began... Leads perfectly into book two (Aria's Travelling Book Shop). Beautifully written. We get to see how Rosie and Aria became best friends. I'd love to see more in this series. It's different, interesting. An escape. Parts had me laughing out loud. A well deserved four stars from me. Highly recommend.

Promises a lot but.....
So, it seems like I was reading a different book to the other reviewers! I really wanted this to be everything they said, but sadly it wasn't. At times, it almost felt as if the author was fed up with parts of the story and therefore just moved on - e.g. when Rosie and Max go to Stonehenge and decide to return later after everyone has left..... these are the main characters, the main love interest, and what happens?? Their return visit is simply not mentioned. There are parts of the context detail that do not match, and whole sections of time completely passed over - the 'nomads' drive to Edinburgh for the Fringe - one minute they are just arriving, then it is the end of the 'weekend' (n.b. the Fringe is longer than this). Poppy, Rosie's van, certainly seems to be a whole lot bigger than the campervan I spent holidays in if she is ordering/buying supplies for baking (though this isn't really mentioned) where is she keeping them all, and where is she doing all this baking in quantities enough to sell to the 'long queues' mentioned. I so wanted this to be good - a story about something I would love to do - but it's like a beautiful rainbow tale was promised and we got one with loads of holes ( and a few typos!) Two stars for the occasionally witty writing.

Travelling Life
Oh those inebriated online purchases - always fun when the delivery comes and you can start berating yourself for buying some useless piece of rubbish. Fortunately for Rosie, her piece of drunken shopping turns out to be a gorgeous vintage camper van called Poppy. I suppose that's one of the perks of working as a sous chef in a michelin starred restaurant - you never get chance to spend anything left over after paying the bills as you are far too busy working; leaves you a nice chunk of disposable income for those drunken purchase moments. Also, it apparently leaves you with a decent chunk to fund a travelling lifestyle. I did find it very hard to believe that you could (A) cook enough baked goods in a campervan to make a profit, however small (B) that said campervan would pass health and safety inspection as a food preparation area.Setting aside those practical and real world concerns, the fictional world that Ms Raisin creates is entirely bucolic. Yes, we have the nasty husband who leaves Rosie for a younger model precipitating the adventure. Yes, we have Rosie's controlling nature and need to plan to the last second to deal with. Yes, we have a supporting cast of eccentric characters who are all too ready to admit a stranger in to their midst and become instant friends with. Yes, we have a shady sounding "penpal" encouraging and luring Rosie in to the lifestyle. Yes, we have the misunderstood rugged hero that provides a will-they-won't they- for Rosie.Basically, everything you expect from this genre is tucked away in there in various guises. Not that this is necessarily a bad thing - certain things are expected but it is how you deliver them that is important. Fortunately, Ms Raisin delivers them with a verve that makes things seem as fresh as the dew on the festival fields. None of it really stands up to close scrutiny but who really pays close attention to if this would work in reality - we read to escape reality. Although, I am sure this would provide inspiration for someone already on the edge of making the decision to try van life for a while. It is humorous but falls short of being genuinely funny, certainly not a laugh out loud book - although very, very few are. I do have a sense of humour, quite an overdeveloped one but this raised nothing more than the occasional smirk and those were in places that I am pretty sure were unintended by the author.Overall, this is a good solid holiday read. Nothing too challenging, nothing too dramatic or heart rending but a heroine you want to get behind and a lifestyle straight from Enid Blyton - what could be better?
