Might want to stick to a classic ring compressor.
it looks cool.. the clamp really isn't needed.my pistons are 4.040 so right in the middle of the range.really tight fit.have to muscle the piston in.once it's in it works pretty good.i do notice i have to watch for little bits of aluminum coming off the compressor so they don't wind up in the motor. but some metal is shaved off the compressor on some pistons. I have 4 in at this point and i don't have my other compressor so i guess I'm in it to win it...

Great tool
This made piston installation super easy. I was very impressed with how quick and easy this tool made the piston installation process. I used it for a Ford 300 inline-6 rebuild. Quick to set to the 4” bore and pistons with new rings dropped right in with a few taps of hammer’s handle. Felt like a pro. Definitely worth the money. Feels high quality, nice fit and finish, made in USA.

Get all 8 in the block first try
This ring compressor works really nice, and pistons go into block smoothly with a one handed nudge. Sure, you can get a cheap ratcheting sheet metal one to work, eventually, but what shape are your rings in after all those failed attempts? Get all 8 on the first try, every time.

Great product easy to use but a touch pricy
Compared to the twist and hold type of ring compressor, this was amazing! Super easy to use and made assembly much easier. Only beef is it’s a bit pricy for something you need multiple sizes for.

Good Tool, But Needs Adjusting To Work Well
I had to readjust this tool a few times to get it just right, but once I did, I could push the piston in with one hand and guide the rod with the other.
