The good (starting at 5 stars):- It really does look nice, and the color is good. I consider it to be fairly stylish table set.- Assembly was easy, though time-consuming. Instructions could have been written better, but it's simple enough that this isn't an issue. If you have a drill with quick change bits (you'll need phillips and hex), it goes quicker, but due to the angles some hand tightening is still likely needed.- Table and chairs seem sturdy. Bolts seem like they'll hold up well.- Packaging was nice and it seemed thought-out. In total, six boxes received -- four boxes with two chairs each, a box with the table base, and a box with the table top. None of the boxes were unwieldy.- Storage in the base is small, but a nice touch -- enough to hold at least six assorted wine glasses on hanging rails (maybe more, but I'd have to experiment), and at least four bottles laying on their sides (more, if you're willing to stack and depending on wine glass size and arrangement). The doors look nice, and the screw-on handles for them were better than expected (could've went cheap, but they seem to be of good build quality).The not-so-good (-0.25 stars total):- There were several nicks, dings, and a small (dime-sized) gouge that appeared to be from prior to shipping. Fortunately, in my case, they were all in areas that were not readily visible.- Probably a result of the mass manufacturing process, but there were several parts--particularly with chairs--that did not line up well. No one is likely to notice, unless you point it out. This also resulted in at least one chair not being level on all four legs.- The finish rubs off easily. I experienced this during assembly (rubbing, not scratching).The bad:- The lazy susan does not turn well -- also probably a result of the manufacturing. The circular cut-out in the table top is close to the lazy susan, and has a nice look due to it being almost flush with the table-top, but it is not precise. Regardless of how one tries to adjust, it consistently sticks on one side. The finish began rubbing off there and that part of the table now looks like it's been under heavy use though it's only been up-and-running for a day. It sticks to the point that the lazy susan is essentially unusable. Plus, the rubber nubs you're given to stick on the rail for the glass top to sit on do not stick...one or two were slightly sticky, the rest might as well have had no adhesive; a dab of super glue will help you here. (-0.25 stars)- Shipping time was acceptable, given the size. However, when contacted by the shipping company, once they found-out there was a flight of stairs they said they couldn't do it, then hung-up on me. The next day I was called by Furniture Creations with a quote of $110 for the "inside delivery" I apparently wanted, on top of the shipping already paid (around $175). Because my wife really wanted a table, I said fine. The next day the shipping company contacted me to arrange shipping. (So did Furniture Creations, for the $110 I had already paid them.) When it arrived, the delivery driver said he needed help ... long story short, I had to pay an EXTRA $110 to carry my own stuff inside. (I could've done that for free! The boxes were light enough to be easily carried by a single person--for example, I think the chair box weighed around 37 lbs--except for the table-top box ... the wife could've helped on that one or I could have wrestled it inside eventually.) The total service here was unacceptable. (-1.5 stars)Would I buy it again, or recommend someone buy this table? Yes. But I would probably recommend getting it from another company, due to overall service.

I received this as a gift from my mom. It's a beautiful set! Now that I've had it for a while, I noticed a few cons:- this set scratches VERY easily and the finish on the back of the chairs scratches/peels off from rubbing against your clothes.- I love the Lazy Susan but ours doesn't spin anymore. With little kids things get spilled on the table and trapped under the Lazy Susan. Aside from wiping the table, we also have to constantly remove the glass top to clean underneath.Overall, this is a very unique looking set and I would still recommend it to a friend.

Beautiful table, just two things:Don't follow the directions where it has you assemble the table upside-down then turn it over. The base part will shear off the table top pulling the heavy duty screws out with it. Thank goodness for wood filler and wood glueAlso over time the lazy susan has gotten off center or off round and rubs against the wood as it turns making it harder in some instances to turn it.

The wood does scratch very easily. We bought corked place mats for that. When putting it together do NOT follow the directions and put the table top face down to install the base. When I turne the table over it pulled the four ancors out. I suggest putting the table onto the base. Also get 1 1/4" screws to make a stronger bond. The lazy suzan doesn't work properly either. I spent a lot of time trying to correct it with out success. I bought this product from homemart, best customer service you could ask for. Took care of all my issues. When finished though, this table is WOW. Just take care of it.

I just received these for my kitchen dining area. I think the set is gorgeous and is just like the photo pictured. It fits perfectly in my kitchen nook and looks beautiful.Pros : Beautiful, sturdy, good quality, easy to assemble, great price.Cons: Like previous reviews state, it does mark or scratch easily. I plan to use place mats to avoid scratching from plates and glasses.It is also a little tight, but possible, if you were having 8 people eat at once. Although for me, this issue is ok because if the table was any larger it would not have fit in the area I wanted to use it in. Perfect size for my home.

We like the design a lot. Assembly wasn't difficult, but just time-consuming. None of the legs came out even, so I had to go to Home Depot and buy extra washers to even them out. Two bucks; no big deal.

I love this table, customer service was great to deal with them UPS didn't deliver on delivery date. The only issue is that the table scratches easily, we use place mats whenever putting anything on the table.

Dining Table Chair SetYou would think that after reading this description head line and with bullet points describing the chairs on Amazon, that I was buying the table and chairs. But no, now after receiving the table I come to find out that the chairs are not included. Other sellers can put table only or chairs only across the photograph but you can't. You are misleading customers on purpose
