Gemtech Precision Muzzle Device Alignment Shim Set For Threaded Rifle Barrels (1/2-28TPI)

Shim kits that are easily 1 of the best options out there for aligning brakes, comps, mounts to your muzzle but the pricing here will leave you with a decision to make. If you're mounting only 1 or maybe 2 mounts then your probably good to go here. If however you are looking to be doing several then perhaps your best bet is buying direct from Gemtech. The reasoning is this, they have flat rate shipping and the kits are like 5-7$ so 1 or 2 kids here with free prime shipping although it wasn't expedited like usual prime purchases your saving a buck or 2 however if your ordering more than 2 kits your gonna save a good bit by buying them from Gemtech directly. Just an FYI I found out after the fact. Be advised. Otherwise if you need simple easy solutions for aligning your muzzle device these are the way to go hands down. 5 sizes that basically range from half turn to 1/3 to 1/4 to 1/8 turns respectively, easy peezy !

Does exactly what it's says it does. Huge improvement for my AR. But had to buy addition shims because it would seat correctly with the washers it came with.

I asked a question above about 1/2" kit OD... now that I have my kit I can confirm OD is 0.698" (17.74mm).These are great! By combining the different thickness shims you can get the desired index for your muzzle brake/compensator/flash hider.And in case anyone wanted to know... the 1/2" kit comes w/ "silver" stainless steel shims. This might not match black barrels, but in my case you can't see them so it doesn't bother me. And I like that they are stainless steel.

Worked as advertised. The math for shim vs degree rotation didn't really work for me (-1 star) but guessing and checking got me there no problem. I indexed two QD suppressor mounts with this kit and probably have enough shims left to do two more.If you have a significant POI shift when shooting suppressed, give these things a try!

I've long been a fan of rigid mounting my comps. Takes the guess work out of it, and you know they won't loosen over time or after some bumps. You set it, and you....forget it!

They work fine for me. They are stainless, so they contract with black barrels. There isn't a lot of variation in the sizes, but combining multiples should get you any timing you need.

Good price and assortment. I don't like the packaging at all. Other then the way its packaged. I was able to time my new flashhider perfectly and had leftovers.

Purchased for Precision Armament M11-SPR severe duty muzzle brake. I was able to time it just fine. Install is far easier than a crush washer and more cost effective than the Precision Armament washer kit. I will absolute purchase this item again if I need to time a muzzle device.
