INDESTRUCTABLE
Attention labrador owners! Does your lab chew everything in sight? Would they chew this sprinkler to pieces? If the answer is yes, then this is the sprinkler for you! My lab chewed off both green rings on my brand new sprinkler and guess what?! It still works almost completely as intended. This thing is durable. The water coverage allows me to span my entire backyard with 1 sprinkler on a timer. If only it was made of pure metal, I don't think my lab could destroy that. Until then, this is the sprinkler you want for a DIY / budget irrigation job.

Nice product easy to use for a homeowner.
Okay I bought six of these. So far they really work well but it's only been 3 weeks. I suggest you look for other reviews for a long-term perspective. I have installed these as part of a drip irrigation system. I have them on two separate zones - 3 sprinkler heads in the front three in the back. They are very adjustable although no instructions are included.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Four-Star Review of Orbit 58573N H2O-6 Gear Drive Sprinkler
I’ve been using the Orbit 58573N H2O-6 Gear Drive Sprinkler for a while now, and overall, it performs well for medium to large lawns. Here’s a breakdown of its strengths and a few areas where it could improve.Key Features & Benefits:✅ 6 Spray Patterns – The adjustable spray settings allow for different watering needs, from a gentle mist for delicate plants to a strong jet for larger areas. This versatility is a big plus.✅ Quiet & Smooth Operation – Unlike traditional impact sprinklers, the gear-driven design operates quietly and distributes water evenly without sudden bursts or disruptions.✅ Adjustable Coverage & Distance – The sprinkler offers variable coverage options, allowing users to set partial or full-circle watering patterns, making it ideal for customized lawn care. It can reach up to 80 feet in diameter when set to maximum range.✅ Durable Metal Spike – The sturdy metal spike ensures stability, preventing the sprinkler from tipping over, even on uneven terrain.Areas for Improvement:⚠️ Water Pressure Sensitivity – The performance depends on consistent water pressure. At lower pressures, the rotation slows down, affecting coverage.⚠️ Plastic Components – While the spike is metal, other parts, like the sprinkler head, are plastic. This makes it less durable than fully metal alternatives, especially with long-term outdoor exposure.⚠️ Initial Setup Can Be Tricky – Getting the correct spray pattern and adjusting the rotation takes some trial and error, as the adjustment knobs are a bit stiff at first.Final Verdict:The Orbit 58573N H2O-6 Gear Drive Sprinkler is a quiet, versatile, and effective sprinkler for medium to large lawns. While it has some minor drawbacks, like sensitivity to water pressure and plastic components, it’s a solid choice for those looking for adjustable watering options. I give it 4 out of 5 stars!

Excellent unit
Covers much more square footage than other sprinklers and offers great customization for the spray patterns and rotational settings. The spray patterns allow you to control droplet size unlike more basic impact sprinklers. Being able to combine them in-line also means you could theoretically build your own budget irrigation system. Only complaint is you can’t control the distance too much so there could be overspray depending on the shape of your yard. But a small price to pay for an otherwise really great piece of equipment.

No User Guide and controls fight each other
There are no installation instructions included so it is hit or miss. l There is an upper and a lower ring adjustment that adjusts how far 20 - 360 deg the spary swings. But which controls which??? They both seem to do the same and they don't adjust in the direcxtion turned. I found them fighting each other.talking to Hugo, at customer support, I found the sprinkler very easy to adjust. Simple instruction like rotate the upper and lower tabs until they are together. Then rotate the upper tab counterclockwise or clockwise to adjust the left extent of rotation and rotate in that direction. Tnen ritate the lower tab clockwise or counterclockwise to adjust it extent of rotation to the right.Once I understood that, it was so so simple to adjust to exactly what I wanted. Thank you, Hugo.

Undecided
It took entirely too long to get this to work properly on just one setting…. And, as there are multiple set-ups possible, I fear if it will take foreverrrrrrr to get it to work again (should I wish to make any changes). I’ve spent decades working in my yard and (in college) majored in the sciences. Am not a dummy by any means - but this drove me nuts.

Great coverage
I have a small backyard but weirdly shaped. This little sprinkler head has been the answer to getting full yard coverage. 3/4" hose with a 5' run from faucet to sprinkler head has more than enough power to cover the lawn. Very pleased.

Beware - Leaks out of the Box and Poor Warranty
Beware - Leaks out of the Box and Poor WarrantyWe bought a 4 pack of the 58573N H2O-Six® Gear-Drive Sprinkler on Metal T Spike. Straight out of the box, one of the four sprinklers leaked (see photo). This wasn't a leak at the hose connection or other spot that might be due to a bad hose connection. This is a leak out of the middle of the sprinkler, on the body, next to the arrow where you select the type of flow you want. The shipping package wasn't damaged and the the unit itself was never dropped/hit/etc.We tried a warranty request however Orbit will only pay for 2/3 of the replacement cost. We would have had to pay $10 extra dollars to replace a sprinkler that was faulty out of the box and should have never been shipped to a customer in the first place. We would have returned the whole set of sprinklers but had just installed new lawn and needed to use them to keep the grass from dying. Very disappointing as we paid extra for 'nicer' sprinklers to ensure we were getting a good product but instead paid extra for a sprinkler that leaked out of the box and a 'warranty' that doesn't even cover the cost of replacing the defective unit we were originally sent.
