An excellent primer, especially for those starting out on a Natgas Trading desk
Review written by my husband Barry, an Energy Derivatives Trader with over 25 years of trading experience:This book is an excellent primer for those that are either just starting out on a Natgas Trading desk, or for those with Commodity Trading experience that are new to Natgas and want to learn the basic fundamentals, terminology, trading instruments, and particular quirks specific to this market. For those just starting out in either a junior trading or marketing role either at a bank, proprietary trading shop, utility, etc, this book will keep you from repeatedly asking the same basic, annoying questions over and over again to your more experienced colleagues (you will still ask some of those, but less). The book is very well organized and clearly written, covering a general market overview, S&D drivers, and all the basic trading instruments (futures, forwards, swaps, options, time spreads, basis spreads) you will encounter daily on a trading desk. For the more experienced derivatives trader new to Natgas, the book will give you a good general overview of how this particular market trades, historical scope of price movements, trends, all in an easy to read format. It is very well done, I wish someone had written a similar book years ago on Crude Oil and Refined Products markets that would have helped me quite a bit when I was first starting out.

Very good and informative
This book allows one to get a very good grasp of what training of natural gas is about. Very useful for junior traders as well as people involved in capital markets on energy side.

Reads more like a boring notes for some uber basic material.
Not really a good book but a compilation of some random collection of material. Not very cohesive.
