Great buy for the price
This soft rack works great, here is why:Easy to install and take offWorks for all types of surfboards (short, longboards, paddle boards)Holds the boards secure when tightened to the maxBest for lower speeds around town, does work at higher speeds but wouldn’t recommend for long distance trips on the freeway going 65 mph.

These things are great! Easy to use and efficient.
I don’t write reviews often but these things were so great and such a good value for the price that I had to! I noticed some people say it makes noise but for me that’s either due to the wind angle at times or if the straps are not flat and there’s a twist in them on the roof. Otherwise makes no noise very easy to put on and takeoff and does the job perfectly!

Good deal for the price, sturdy straps. Not good for the freeway.
Used it today for the first time i have a small kia forte so maybe thats why I had the issues that I had. The quality of the buckles and straps is great and the foam blocks definitely had enough clearance for the radio fin on my car. But I did not feel comfortable going over 50 mph with this rack. The humming would start around 55 and the board would begin to catch wind and lifting a little bit. I pulled over and checked the straps they were still tight but i just didnt feel right. No big deal I took the streets to the beach instead. On the way home i minimized the lift and hum by placing the fin as far back on the roof as it could while making contact with the other block. I got it up to 65 that time Before the hum began. Still took the streets home.

With a few adjustments, these work GREAT!
***I am editing my review now that I have tried multiple times in using the rack. Here is my new review:It takes some trial and error with these racks, but once you get it, they’re great, if you read on and see my old review, the rack would loosen, make CRAZY noise and I had to keep pulling over. Because the board would loosen and start bouncing. If any of these things happen to you, try the following tips:- You must twist the straps before securing to the car. I recommend twisting5-6 Times. Once I did this, there was no more noise.- Make sure you insert the rope in the clips correctly. I also make a knot with the dangling rope inside to ensure it is secure. Those two adjustments made all the difference. Now my rack works great and holds the boards the entire time. I’m able to drive 60-65 mph for an hour without any issues.Old review: Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I've watch video after video and read the directions over and over. When we purchased this we were so excited to be able to bring my daughters 8ft softboard to the beach so she can surf. We drove about 90 miles and the usual hour and twenty minute drive going at 65 mph, took over two hours because I had to keep pulling over and drive 50 mph or less, because although the board started tight, it would loosen and begin to bounce and flop. I was so stressed the entire drive. Maybe someone can give me some tips to help and I can try again, but for now, I am a very dissatisfied customer.

Did the trick!
Worked just like it’s supposed to. Easily set up on my Honda CRV. I watched a short video on how to set up, as recommended by other reviews. It’s really not complicated at all. You MUST put a twist in the bottom straps or you will hear the worst vibration noise. Twisting the strap did the trick. Drove 90 miles with it and then took the board on and off a half dozen times, no problem. The board starts to vibrate at speeds over 65, which is disconcerting but has nothing to do with the straps. I just kept it at 65. Having the strap coming across your headspace is a bit annoying, but it’s a trade off for the convenience of a non permanent rack.

Pretty good, shakes a lot but still sturdy
I drive with 1 10ft long board and 1 8ft foam board strapped to my small honda civic all the time. Due to the roof of my car being hollow, when I am in the freeway and it's windy the boards shake a bit up and down but nothing ever comes of it. So far it's been a great product and I've had 0 problems with it.*picture is what my car usually looks like

👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
Used twice. Installed per package directions. Unable to secure tightly. Flapping in the wind. Loud. 2nd trip the surfboard broke. Now I am out the rack and a board and dented my car!!!! Not worth the 50 bucks. Now I will have bodywork repairs to the car and the cost of a new board. Dont take shortcuts in life. Buy quality!!!

As advertised, but I would make a design change.
I like the ease of use of this soft rack. I really like the covers on the metal parts. The only thing that I would change would be making the "cushions" longer. One surfboard fits well, but I am not sure that my wider paddleboards would be ok. This is my only preference and soft rack works well, I just would like a little more length.
