I write my reviews on my outdoor products they have been out in the elements for some time. I live in Oklahoma that has cold winters and hot summers. I have had this product for over a year and it has held up remarkably well and holds my 100 foot hose with ease. I purchased this with the Good Directions 458B Brass Hose Pot Lid for Item 448B, 449B, and 457B and it is a beautiful piece that complements my patio and functions beautifully. I have had several comments on how lovely and unique this hose pot is.

Nice pot
It's a good pot, though more brightly turquoise than I expected, so it's more obvious to the eye than I would have liked. That will change with time, I imagine. Funny enough, it is striking in its looks, so people ask what it's for - lol. So much for hiding the hose.One thing I'd say is that this would never easily house a regular size hose (1") unless it's under 25 feet of it. You'd be better off buying a hose caddy and a portable fence or something like that, for a longer hose. When I saw the pot, knew we needed more than 25, so I opted for 50' coiled non-kink 1/2" hose with sprayer, and that fits with room to spare in there.

Knock-out addition to my deck
This hose pot is as gorgeous as it is practical. It has a kind of old-fashioned, weathered look but without sacrificing style. Placed next to a planter with silvery leaved pale flowers, it's right off the pages of Architectural Digest. Having a decorative way of stowing a hose on my deck, within convenient reach of my plants, makes my life so much easier. I highly recommend this product.

It's definitely a pretty hose pot, but I got a hose reel for the other side of the yard, and I now regret the hose pot purchase. Even though the pot is so pretty, a good reel can make managing the hose during watering time so much easier.
