Giani Marble Countertop Paint Kit, Carrara White

First, I want to mention the site reviewmeta.com because you can check a product's actual rating, adjusted for fake reviews. I only learned about it after buying this product and saw that the rating went down by a whole star.That said, I am happy with this product. I know that you probably could buy these things individually for a cheaper cost, but I appreciated the ease of having it all together with directions.The process itself is easy enough. A few things I would recommend:-Definitely make sure that you prep the space thoroughly-The veining is not a science and really requires an artistic eye. Only do the veining if you are a confident, artistic painter. Being technical will not produce good veins.-follow all directions to the T! There is a video and I had it playing throughout the process so that I made sure I was doing it correctly.Not a day goes by that I dont walk by and think, "my beautiful countertops!" I am so happy for this option as it buys us some time to afford real countertops in the future. The real test will be how it keeps up, but it's been a few weeks and no issues so far. I am just hoping it will look this good for 5 or so years.Best of luck!

The product is very easy to use and comes out looking absolutely stunning!! My only complaint would be that the top coat can opened at some point and half of it would was spilled all inside the box! I have lots of kids and animals at home and only had help from my mom for two days to do the project so I couldnt return it and wait for it to be re-shipped. But that's not a product problem, the product itself is wonderful and transforms a dull kitchen into pire perfection!!

This stuff is super easy to apply as the directionsAre written out so ANYONE can follow them which was appreciated because I’m a person who needs lots of answers but even after following directions to a T even waiting longer than recommended to use and put products on the counter we still ended up with chipping and staining after a matter of weeks. It does look amazing those first couple of days but then not so great. If you’re going to do it I’d say try the faux granite as the marble is too white to hide any little stain that’s bound to happen.

My wife and I just bought a new house and wanted to update the countertops without spending a fortune. This was an excellent and cost effective solution. It is straightforward to use although a bit tedious and time consuming, but its paint so that is to be expected. It has held up well except for a few sips that chipped during the hardening. The biggest complaint is that it does not clean very well and stains easily. This may simply be because it is white and shows stains easier or from user error and leaving coffee rings on the counter but it certainly seems to stain easier than other counters. It took most of the weekend to do, but I love the end result. The veins did not come out very well on the practice board, so I was nervous, but they turned out great on the counter and were much easier to manipulate they way I wanted it to look.

The problem is how easily it stains! I have had this for 3 months and I have about 5 spots that will not come off. I have been vigilant about wiping the counters and cleaning up but honestly if you cook a lot and use your counters there is no avoiding stains. If you try to use a normal kitchen cleaner it takes the clear coat right off and leaves the stain behind.It looks beautiful but it’s not durable or realistic so it was a waste of money.

The only 4 star mark I gave this product was "ease of use". Why? you have to have an eye for what you want it to look like - a bit of an artistic talent will matter for your results. The right "tools" are certainly here.You MUST follow the directions to a tee. Prep is everything.The final coating is as durable as anything you can buy. Allow it to properly cure for the full time that's recommended. This isn't a product for the impatient.We could not be happier with the results !!!

We bought this kit as a temporary fix for an old kitchen counter. The kit itself was great! It was easy to use and we had no problem following the instructions or drawing in the marbling lines. Our counter turned out looking good and we were very happy with the results. The issue we have run into is staining. I understand that this kit isn’t intended to be very durable or to withstand heat but was not at all aware how quickly and easily it is to stain. If food or juice is left on counter for more than a few minutes it seems to leave a stain which is nearly impossible to remove without damaging the glossy topcoat. This is disappointing given the time and money we spent on this otherwise great kit. If we had known this prior we would have chosen a darker color.
