Great resolution

For non tech people I would check out YouTube videos on installing and programming.

Using this unit in a simple machine vision role (OCR of the 7 segment water temperature display on my boiler aquastat) and it performs well. I haven't tried to mount it in a housing, so I can't comment on the fit or hole positioning.

Well the picture quality is excellent, good, sensor and lens. The mounting holes are tiny and hard to deal with even though there is plenty of space available. One of two failed almost immediately.

Very pleased with this purchased. When I started shopping around for a Raspberry Pi camera module I was slightly hesitant. But this item was easy to install and use. It allows you to use all of the camera capabilities of a typical camera, which was what I was looking for - nothing too fancy and difficult to install. For both beginners and seasoned Pi users, this is a cool product.

The camera works as expected. The interchangeable lens is easy to use. You can put a different lens and adjust the focus. The included lens has quite a bit of distortion, but that is to be expected.My only complaint is the board size, compared to a standard Pi camera it is gigantic. You can kind of see it on the images, but it is even bigger in person. The size reduces the usability of the board, so 4 stars. Other that that everything else works as you would expect.

Very very good price, for a generic pi camera Port compatible camera. Also it is IR sensors image sensor you just have to swap lenses

The lens might be wide angle but it is clearly not matched to such a small sensor. The view could best be described as normal. It is IN NO WAY WIDE ANGLE which is specifically why I bought this camera.Also the board is HUGE compared to the usual raspi cameras, be prepared for this to take up way more space than is necessary.

I got this to keep an eye on my 3D printer when I'm in a different room.It links up through my raspberry Pi running Octoprint. It has a very short focal length 2.8cm and has adjustable focus, so positioning the camera close to the print bed is not an issue. The photo shows my camera, set up at around 5cm from the front of the bed. Very good quality pictures and ideal if you're into timelapse of your prints.It only comes with a short (15cm approx) ribbon so you may need to get a longer one depending where your pi is located.

Zunächst: Autofokus ist kein gutes Bewertungskriterium - es ist ausschließlich manuell zu fokussieren. Für mich ist das ein Vorteil.Der omnipräsente OV5647 Chip hat bekannt gute Bildaufnahmequalität.Die Optik wirkt schmal-/spitzwinkeliger als aufgrund der Beschreibung erwartet, aber ich habe nicht viel Wissen über Optik, es mag also an meinem Verständnis liegen.Infrarotfilter sind immer eine Gratwanderung: mach sie zu stark und du siehst im dunklen nichts mehr. Mach sie zu schwach und das Bild bei Licht wirkt stark verwaschen. Für mich könnte der IR-Filter stärker sein, aber bei dem Preis kann ich mich wirklich nicht beschweren!Es liegen 2 Kabel bei, sowohl für den Pi Zero, als auch für den "normalen" 3er bzw. 4er.Die sind zwar beide recht kurz, aber das ist ok, weil bekannt.
