Okay let me clean up some confusion right now that everyone seems to be having with this deck of cards, the first copy of this deck I bought was back in 2018 or 2019 it’s when it was first released. Many people complained about the quality of the first deck and that how the cards were so thin. They indeed were, I also didn’t like it at first but after having this same deck for a few years I really love the fact that the cards were thin. Because they were thin they were easy to keep flat instead of warping over time like regular cards because of the shuffling, not only that but they were much easier to handle for a whole 78 cards, I have somewhat small hands so I really love it.Okay now going onto this deck that I’ve bought this year here on Amazon. I wanted a deck for collectibles sake. And when I received my package I was excited except the fact that I realized the manufacturing had changed. This deck is much thicker compared to my first one, the cards are thicker and grippier around the edges. The case that it comes in is also obviously bigger and yellower as well as the book. I personally though oh they decided to manufacture it differently because of all the complaints and I was quite disappointed because of this new adjustment the cards no longer fits perfectly in the box it’s over flowing and it feel way too thick for me to shuffle. Now the best way to differ the two decks is by looking at eh barcode in the back on the bottom right. You’ll notice the numbers 7 on the new one the 7 is a more modern text but on my first one which would be the thin deck the 7 is slightly curved. I searched all over eBay for an identical copy of my first edition print and I had found only one and that was the only way for me to tell the two apart. Over all I hope who ever decided to purchase this deck really loves it no matter what the manufacture is. It’s really helped me make some really in depth readings and understanding readings in many different way. I will say though I still haven’t been able to study the guide book enough to where I remember all of the intricate details by memory so most of the time I still have to have the book out while I do reading just to see all of the different outcomes and answers I’m trying to read. This was my first tarot deck that I purchased because I liked the artwork. I still like it and I appreciate that it comes with an information booklet great for beginners, but after learning a great deal more about tarot, I think something is lost when the artwork doesn't contain any of the esoteric imagery found in older decks. Even if you don't know what the card symbolizes at first, with those more traditional decks, you get a vibe. This is totally fine for people just getting into tarot though, and I'm glad I started here.

I've wanted this deck for a long time and it did not disappoint! Nicely packaged. Detailed color guidebook that lists not only interpretations but also the numerology, planetary correspondence and element associated with each card.

I stumbled upon this deck by accident. I was in Barnes and Noble store on my birthday and noticed a Tea Leaf Reading deck by Harney and Sons tea company and Claire Goodchild. I also noticed this tarot deck sitting right next to the Tea Leaf reading oracle deck. I became very curious and decided to order it. My, oh my, this is a very unique deck. First of all, the box is absolutely gorgeous with leaves and flowers everywhere. The cards are really good quality and shuffle very well. The art is absolutely stunning. I did not realize how attracted I would feel towards human anatomy and bones presented in a very antique looking style. You have to be very familiar with tarot card meanings because this a pip deck, but my favorite suit is the cups suit, because the potion bottles have titles on them that correspond to the energy of the cup cards. So cool and helpful! I wish there was more of that in other suits, too. I also ordered the Memento Mori oracle deck by Claire Goodchild which is available on Claire's Black and The Moon website. I can't wait to receive it. This is perfect for Halloween season readings. :)

This is the artist's deck, I understand that this may be a second edition, because the cards are a more regular card stock. Some may still find the cards thin, but they feel a usual card weight to me, not still and heavy like some decks. The presentation of this deck is beautiful, the box, and the book is beautiful. The book details additional meanings in the cards relating to flowers and colors, which means the pips are "enhanced" by these additional elements. I got this deck to have something that would work for "Dia de Los Muertos" but to not be so literal, and they work for that. I have found these cards difficult to get into because, the imagery reminds me a bit of crime scenes or murder, but these are truly more "antique anatomy" and skeleton images. Fortunately, I found an online study done with these cards (Abundant Life Tarot on YouTube), and her work with these cards (and the related oracle deck that came first) has been a tremendous addition. The imagery is not dark, but confronting death and more scientific/realistic skeletons isn't for everyone. I think there is simply nothing else like it out there, and for those of us who like broad variety in our cards, this is exactly the thing.
